Left4Dead2 is a coop zombie survival multiplayer game that came out in 2009. Despite it's age the game is still being praised as on the best zombie games ever to come out. You may wonder why immediately the sequel? It's because the first game is already in this one.

Story
You play as 1 one 4 survivors(based on campaign different characters) Who fail to evacuate on time and now have to fight through hordes of zombies in order to escape to a military outpost in hopes to survive their current situation.

Graphics
For a game that came out in 2009. The graphics are pretty impressive, they did a good job on working with the lighting as to not make the environment and objects not look plain. And the model for the zombies look fairly realistic though have a few noticeable clipping textures.

Gameplay
You basically either fight with melee weapons or guns. Guns have limited bullets while melee weapons are 1 shot to common zombies and a few special infected. The game is a coop multiplayer so teamwork is key as most special infected have abilities to fully hinder a single survivor and said survivor can't escape without the help of any teammates.

Game length
About 4-6 hours

Replay Value
Very replayable. If you just wanna play the game at harder difficulty or wanna use mods.

Fallout New Vegas is considered to be one of the best RPG games out there because of it's customizability and the how the choices you make in the game affects the world around you.

Story
You play as a courier who is killed by a gangster via a shot to the head and you miraculously live the shot and are saved by a local doctor in a town. You venture forth the world of New Vegas in search of answers.

Graphics
Not the most graphically beautiful game. But the lighting and the backgrounds does a good a job at blending into the environment and making things look immersive.

Gameplay
You have the freedom as to how you wanna build your character. You can build your character to be charismatic, a gunslinger, or a melee fighter, etc. The world is open for exploration, you can also speak to npcs who'll give you quests and whatnot.

Game length
I personally still haven't completed the game yet. But it would take you about 27 hours or 35 hours if you own all the dlcs.

Replay Value
I'd say pretty replayable if you wanna experience different choices you did from a previous run, not to mention character building

Are you a fan of tower defense games? Are you a fan of Factory/Tycoon type games? if any of you answers to these questions are yes then look no further for a game i personally like a lot is Mindustry. Mindustry is a tower defense/Factory hybrid, it mixes the elements of a classic tower defense and adding it's own mix which is the factory part of the game. Now we all know what tower defense games are right? If you don't then you probably live under a rock, anyways tower defense games are basically just place this tower on this part of the map and stop whatever attacker is there from reaching the base.

Now factory games on the the other hand are games that involve a lot of resource management and building stuff to help increase your production value by either upgrading the buildings collecting resources or upgrading total storage of your base. As mentioned before Mindustry is a mix of both games, the towers you place down don't just shoot the moment you place them down. They need ammo to shoot and where will you get said ammo, it's by integrating the factory part into the tower defense gameplay. By placing down drill near an ore deposit(specially what type of ammo the turret can shoot) you can attach a conveyer belt that connects to the turret to load it. The tower defense part of the game is pretty simple, the enemies comes in waves and depending on the level there may be a boss. And these enemies can actually break these turrets and any building you may have built.

In conclusion Mindustry is good mix of tower defense along with being a Factory game. It incentives the player to come up with unique strategies to help defend their base along with collecting enough resources for upgrades and what not.

Bloons TD 6 is a goofy looking Tower Defense game, but don't let the goofiness of the game fool you. The game is actually challenging despite the cartoony look of the game.

Story
Basically "Monkey Pop Balloon"

Graphics
Game has one of those Cartoony looking graphics and is also 3D, the effects look amazing for a game this silly and in general just looks good.

Gameplay
You choose levels based on difficulty of the map and each map has it's own little gimmick or theme and there 4 difficulties for maps. Then you choose the actual difficulty that either just increases the amounts of rounds you do or gives you a challenge. The gameplay is basically just place down monkeys to stop balloons from reaching the end of the map, there are various types of monkeys each with their own upgrade paths and abilities. Hero monkeys are also a thing

Game length
Depends on you

Replay Value
Very Replayable, because the game is constantly being updated with more content and challenges to do.

Project Zomboid is a SandBox Zombie Survival game that came out all the way back to 2013. Now Project Zomboid isn't the typical zombie survival game, where you just loot up and mindlessly shoot any dubious little creature you encounter. This game leans more on the realistic side of things in an actual zombie apocalypse. I personally love this game because of how customizable the settings are, you can set how fast zombies go, how rare loot is, and even how you get infected. And without further ado let's move on to the review

Story
There isn't really a story to the game but the premise of the game is that you're just everyday person who is now currently dealing with a zombie apocalypse that happened about a week ago(I'm not sure). If you do wanna know the full lore and what happened I suggest you just watch a video about it.

Graphics
While not the most graphically appealing game, it does have it's own charm. Even with pixel graphics the game doesn't fail to immerse you in the world you are in. The zombies models look decent same with most other items in the game, though some items in the game don't have a 3d model so they kinda just lie flat in the world.

Gameplay
Zomboid is a sandbox game, meaning the way you wanna play it is customizable. From Zombie speed, loot rarity, how often you find cars, guns, etc. It's also a survival game meaning you have to survive as well. Before you are put into the game it asks you to choose a playstyle or a customized one, after that you are asked where to spawn from four different locations based on Kentucky, USA. spawns to choose from are Muldraugh, KY, Riverside, KY, Rosewood, KY, and West Point, KY. After that you are asked to create your character build based on actual occupations in real life or you could make a custom build with negative traits and positive traits, because just like real life you can't have the positive without the negative. Anyways after that you customize the look of your character and then you're in the game. P. S. you are to do a tutorial the moment you first start up the game. The survival aspect of the game has you manage your character's negative statuses like hunger, thirst, unhappiness, colds and etc. You can also build with a high enough skill level, because this game has a skill system where if you aren't high enough level in a certain skill then you can't perform the action and can get a bit grindy at times. Also the game is moddable

Game length
Depends on you, there isn't really a set end goal for the game not unless you the player give it one. I personally have about 139hours into the game and have a pretty good character on a different playthrough and a semi decent on in another playthrough.

Replay Value
All i have to say is very big replay value, so it's worth the money

This isn't a usual post, but I just want to talk about this one real quick. The day before was one of the most wishlisted games on steam, because when this game was initially announced back in 2021 people liked the idea of an online MMORPG zombie survival game set in a post-apocalyptic world. The studio behind this game is Fnatastic which have now announced their closure because of how bad this game was.

They have released a multitude of trailers for the game which were all pre-rendered trailers and not actual gameplay footage. Speaking of gameplay the studio behind the game kept on dodging anything related to gameplay when the game was still development which had people skeptical on whether or not this game was even real in the first place. The Trailers showed a lot of promising looking features such as gun customization, vehicle repair, and jobs for some reason.

The day the game released it was literally on fire, because of how bad the game was. It was nothing like any of the trailers shown and had people disappointed but not surprised. It was hard to enter the game because of how the slow the servers were, the NPCs are bland and have no personality. Even the shooting is literal crap and took a bit of time for the shots to register and we can't forget the enemies, in the trailers it showed that the world you are in is littered in hordes of zombies, but most of the world is just straight up empty and even when you did spot an enemy, they would just run towards you and that's it.

Overall this was one of the WORST game released in 2023
Anyways that's about it see ya

BLog #3

For this one I'm gonna be talking about a game series called Metro which is one of my personal favorite games because of how good the story is and the gameplay(for me). The game is a trilogy but I personally haven't played the third game of the series called Metro Exodus because my PC can't handle the game.

The Metro series is a Horror-Esque story rich first person shooter set in Post-Apocalyptic Russia, after a nuclear bomb being dropped forcing people to run underground and seek shelter from the radiation

Story
Metro 2033, the story of metro 2033 follow a 24 year old Russian man named "Artyom" whose home based is attacked by "The Dark Ones" forcing him to flee his home base and travel to Metro Polis to seek help only for him to find out that the nest of "The Dark Ones" was close to Polis and is Tasked take it out.

Last Light, the story of last light follows up on 2033 taking place a year after 2033. You still play as "Artyom" and is now part of the Ranger Faction. After finding out that one "Dark One" survived the purge of the hive, you are then tasked to eliminate said "Dark One"

Graphics
Both games have been remastered with better textures and visuals and looks amazing. The guns look cool and the enemies look terrifying. The environment also looks good for games having graphics from 2014

Gameplay
Both games have similar gameplay, both are first-person shooters that have a bit of survival aspects to it. The guns feel realistic to shoot(for me) since missing your shots are punishing and trying to spray some guns are just a bad idea. Bullets are also limited since you can only carry a specific amount of bullets, other gear such as throwables, med kits, and even your gas mask is limited. The game also has a radiation thing where you'll take damage in some places if not wearing a gas mask. There's also a hardcore mode where it makes a lot resources extremely scarce which forces you to save up all your resources and not use it all up in a single fight.

Game length
Metro 2033 can be completed in about 6-8 hours. I completed it in about 6 hours. Or if you wanna fully complete it it'll take about 19 hours. While Last Light takes about 8-10 hours(without dlc) or 36 if you wanna 100% the

Replay Value
Kinda replayable if that floats your boat. But to me atleast it ain't.

Terraria is a 2D SandBox Survival game that came out in 2011, again I'll split my review into the same 5 categories as my first one which are story, graphics, gameplay, game length, and replay value

A little note is that I'm gonna be a bit biased with this one because this one of my all time favorite games and have 100+ hours on it

Story
As per the story of Terraria, there isn't really a story to it. The base story for the game is your the hero the this world called "Terraria"(crazy I know) and you're tasked with cleaning up the evil of your world(either the Crimson or Corruption) and defeating the final boss of the game.

Graphics
Terraria uses 2D pixel graphics so it wouldn't be a problem to run even if you have a potato PC. Despite the pixel graphics the sprites for enemies, weapons, items, and the background are all well done and beautiful. Some of the bosses in the game don't even look like they're not even made out of pixels.

Gameplay
Terraria's gameplay involves you customizing your own character and then creating your world that is randomly generated(every new world you make is random). Once in the game you are given 3 basic tools to aid you in the early game, Terraria's early game involves a lot of exploration looking for some loot and ore. Terraria follow a strict progression system where for example tier 1 stuff can't break tier 2 stuff. Progressing through the game is extremely awarding, because it allows you to access more things and items to help you in your fights and whatnot.

Game length
I'd say it would take about 20-30 hours of gameplay to beat it based on personal experience. Who knows could be longer for you or shorter for you

Replay Value
Replayability is where you get your money's worth in terraria, because there is so much to do in the game for you to only spend an hour on it. Like improving your building skills, trying out different classes, using weapons you've never used before or even trying to speedrun the game. The game also has multiple difficulty options if your in for a challenge. I've heard that there are even secret seeds that makes the game even harder if you into that. Also the game comes with a moddable version upon purchase called "T-mod loader" from there one you're kind of free to mod the game however you want for a fresh new experience aside from the vanilla game

Bioshock is a game that came out in 2007, despite its age Bioshock still holds out pretty well today. I will spit my review into 5 categories which are story, graphics, gameplay, game length and its replay value.

Story
I'm not gonna talk too much in this category since I don't want to spoil anything, so I'm basically just gonna give a tiny synopsis. The story follows a man named Jack who is the sole survivor of a plane crash in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, there he finds himself the entrance to the underwater city called "Rapture". From there on Jack has to fight his way through the mutated ADAM addicted citizens of Rapture with the help of a mystery man named "Atlas".

Graphics
For a game that came out in 2007, the graphics still stand out. Despite the limited polygon count on some textures which make them look a bit smudge, it's not really that noticeable unless you take a close look at them.

The Character models in the game are noticeably a bit on the blocky side, same goes for the gun. But the game make up for that with the lighting, since the game takes place in an underwater decaying city they took full advantage of this to make the enemies look creepy and morbid and make your weapons look better

Gameplay
Bioshock is a first person shooter game. In it you have an arsenal of weapons ranging from a wrench to a gr***de launcher. Which isn't all, for each weapon you also have three ammo types that are very limited. The way you obtain ammunition in the game is by looting dead enemies, looting them from random stashes like cabinets, safes, crates, and boxes or you could also buy them from shops. Guns aren't your only of defending yourself, you also have various abilities like creating fire with the snap of your finger or zapping your opponents with lightning. These abilities can be further enhanced with the help of ADAM, it can also be used to get yourself perks like increasing melee damage or perks to enhance your abilities. Which kind of all there is to its gameplay

Game length
The average time to beat the game would be about 12 hours or if your a completionist it would take about 22 hours to fully complete the game.

Replay Value
As for replay value it's not really that replayable unless you wanna get all achievements then go knock yourself out

Overall rating 8.5/10
