These are the resources that helped me throughout my own reviewโ€”from books and reviewers to apps, videos, practice exams, and even AI. I didnโ€™t rely on one resource alone; I used each one for a different purpose, whether it was understanding concepts, memorizing information, simplifying building codes, visualizing difficult topics, or testing what I actually knew.
Some of these are free, some have paid features, and I personally subscribed to a few that I found worth it. Iโ€™m sharing what worked for me in case it helps make your review journey a little easier. ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป
Save this, share it with a fellow aspiring Interior Designer, and give me a follow for more board exam + design content! ๐ŸคŽ
And remember: you donโ€™t need to use everythingโ€”find the resources that work best for you and study intentionally. โœจ

We study the space, analyze the existing conditions, choose the most functional layout, consider circulation and ergonomics, select materials, develop concepts, prepare technical drawings, coordinate with other professionals, and make sure the design worksโ€”not just looks good.
And yes, we still get excited about picking the perfect paint color and finding the right vase. ๐ŸคŽ
Because good interior design isn't just about making a space beautiful. Itโ€™s about making it functional, intentional, and designed for the people who use it.

Thesis Project | 2024 ๐ŸŒฟ
Creating a sanctuary that feels like coming home. ๐Ÿชบ๐ŸŒฟ
Inspired by the protective and nurturing nature of a birdโ€™s nest, The Sanitarium: Nesting Place explores how interior spaces can foster a sense of safety, comfort, and belonging. Through Tropical Modernism, natural materials, organic forms, earthy tones, and biophilic elements, the project creates a healing environment designed to calm the mind, restore the body, and nurture holistic well-being.
A project that taught me that good design isn't just about how a space looksโ€”it's about how a space makes you feel. ๐ŸคŽ

Found this little piece of my student designer era. ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป
Sharing one of the academic projects I created back in Interior Design school. So much has changed since then, but looking back, I can still see the little lessons, challenges, and even mistakes that helped shape the way I approach design today. ๐ŸคŽ

Nothing beats an interior before-and-after edit. โœจ Hereโ€™s a glimpse of one of our projects from 2024.

Project: Dauntless Fitness Gym
Location: Sta. Cruz, Ilocos Sur
Role: Interior Designer & Project Manager

From developing the overall concept and space planning to selecting materials, finishes, colors, and equipment, We handled the design process and coordinated the project from concept to ex*****on. The goal was to transform the space into a functional, cohesive, and motivating gym while making the most of the existing space.

A project that will always be special to meโ€”not just because of the transformation, but because I got to see the design come to life. ๐Ÿ–ค

If youโ€™re reviewing for the boards, save this one. ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸคŽ

These are some of the books that helped me get through Interior Design school and, eventually, the boards. Some were my go-to references, some helped me deep-dive into concepts, and some were basically my academic emotional support system. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Iโ€™m sharing them in case they can make your review season a little less overwhelmingโ€”and hopefully help you understand the why behind the answers, not just memorize them.

Give us a follow, comment โ€œSIRMATAโ€ below, and Iโ€™ll send you the link to the PDFs!

Happy studying, future IDrs! ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ“š
