The Romper is proof that not every terrifying enemy in Silent Hill is a boss. Fast, aggressive, and always ready to body slam Harry out of nowhere.

I still hate these things. 😂

Martian Gothic: Unification (PC)

Originally released for PC in 2000, Martian Gothic: Unification was developed by Creative Reality. Set on the Vita-01 research base on Mars, the story follows three members of a team sent to investigate after the base goes silent. Martin Karne, Diane Matlock, and Kenzo Uji soon discover that something has gone terribly wrong inside the base.

The game takes inspiration from classic survival horror, featuring fixed camera angles, limited resources, exploration, combat, and plenty of puzzles. What really sets it apart is its three-character system. Martin, Diane, and Kenzo are separated throughout the base, and you can switch between them as you explore, using their different locations and resources to solve puzzles and move forward. They can also send items to each other through the base's vacuum tube system, making cooperation between the three a major part of the gameplay. Interestingly, the game began as a point-and-click adventure concept before being reworked into a survival horror game, with its earlier puzzle-focused ideas carrying over into the final design.

I still haven't played Martian Gothic: Unification, and honestly, I only discovered this game this month. I came across a few clips and immediately liked what I saw. The atmosphere caught my attention, but learning that you can switch between three different protagonists made me even more interested. The idea of controlling three characters separately and having them work together from different parts of the base is such a cool concept for a survival horror game. This is definitely one PS1 game I want to experience for myself.

He told us not to leave the mansion, and then we go check the front door anyway. One Cerberus later and suddenly Wesker's advice doesn't sound so bad. 🤣

Galamoth was ready for an epic battle.

Just for you to show up with Power of Sire + Duplicator and basically turn the whole screen into a light show.

Excalibur is literally the sword in the stone. ⚔️🪨

It's like getting the sword with free DLC included. 😂
