Hindi Ko Rin Alam

May mga tanong na hindi nila tinanong,
at mga sagot na hindi ko rin alam.
Kapag sinabi nilang “Ano bang gusto mo?”
ngumiti lang ako—
dahil kahit ako, hindi sigurado.

Hindi ako nangarap nang malakas.
Hindi ako humiling para sa sarili.
Sanay akong tumingin sa iba,
kung ano ang kulang nila,
kung saan ako pwedeng sumalo.

Ang alam ko lang: gusto kong tumulong.
Kahit mapagod, kahit maubos.
Kahit walang makapansin
na unti-unti akong nawawala
sa gitna ng pagiging “kailangan.”

Mabigat pala ang walang gustong ipaglaban
para sa sarili—
dahil paano mo hihilingin ang pahinga
kung hindi mo alam
kung saan ka dapat huminto?

Can I Give Up?

My chest feels crowded with borrowed air,
every breath a debt I never agreed to owe.
The world keeps knocking with loud, bright hands,
and I’m tired of answering like I’m okay.

Stress hums beneath my skin like static,
a thousand unfinished thoughts talking at once.
I smile on cue, I nod, I try—
but inside, I’m quietly folding in on myself.

I want to feel alone, not lonely,
there’s a difference people rarely see.
Alone is silence without expectations,
a room where I don’t have to be *me*.

Can I give up—not forever,
just long enough to rest my name?
To stop carrying everyone’s weather
like it’s my job to make the sky behave.

I don’t want saving speeches or silver lines,
I want the right to be unfinished.
To sit with my sadness without fixing it,
to breathe without proving I’m strong.

If I disappear into a softer moment,
please don’t call it weakness or defeat.
Sometimes giving up is just pausing,
laying the armor at my feet.

So I whisper this question to the dark,
not as an ending, but a plea:
Can I give up—just for tonight—
and let myself finally be free?

No shadows from the past can close my door.
For in my heart, you’re still my home—
A love that stays, through all we’ve known.

And though I’m grown, one truth is real:
Losing you is still a fear I feel.
But Papa, please remember too—
No matter what happened, I will always love you.

What if, one day, I lose my fight,
And fade away into the night?
Would you still care, would you still see,
The love that burns so endlessly?

What if my smile begins to hide,
Behind the tears I’ve kept inside?
Would you still reach, would you still try,
To hold my heart before goodbye?

But even tired, I’ll still remain—
For love like yours defies the pain.

Palaging ako ang mali,
Kahit ikaw ang unang nang-iwan sa salitang “tama.”
Pagkakamali mo, tinatabing parang alikabok,
Habang sa akin, bawat hinga ay may sala.

Ginagawa ko lahat para maramdaman mo,
Para mapansin mo kahit isang ngiti ko.
Pero sa tuwing pinipilit kong lumapit,
Kasalanan na naman — ako na naman ang mali.

Hanggang kailan kaya ako magpapaliwanag,
Sa taong bulag sa sariling pagkukulang?
Kung pagmamahal ang sukatan ng tama,
Bakit pag ako ang nagmahal, laging mali sa’yo?
