Giving hope to the hopeless.

But how cruel the truth can be?

As we all know, last August 25, 2025, we celebrated National Heroes Day —
a day not only to honor the names history has carved in stone,
but to remember the lives they lived,
the battles they fought,
and the love they gave for the heart of our nation.

Yet may it not end in ceremony. May we remember, may we reflect,
may we learn what it truly means to be Filipino
through the courage they left behind.

Let us never forget how a single soul, burning with truth, can rise and stand for millions.

We, the Filipino people, are born of such brave blood. 🔥

And so today, I am proud to present through this page —
a short film that captures the final hours of Dr. José Rizal:
his silence, his steps,
his unshaken spirit before the dawn of death.

Our HUMSS students have DARED to retell His final chapter, reimagined Rizal’s last moments with a powerful twist. But more than the creativity, let us remember what must truly be appreciated in each of their works: Rizal’s unwavering love for our country.

of how a single soul, armed only with truth and love,
