Palm Sunday of the Lord's Passion

Palm Sunday reminds us of the moment Jesus entered Jerusalem, welcomed with joy and praise—yet He was walking toward suffering and the cross. The same crowd that shouted “Hosanna” would later turn away from Him. It reflects how human hearts can easily change.

In our own lives, we may praise God when things are good, but struggle to stay faithful in times of difficulty. Palm Sunday invites us to remain steadfast—to follow Jesus not only in moments of joy, but also in sacrifice and trials.

As we begin Holy Week, we are called to walk with Christ: to carry our crosses with love, humility, and trust, knowing that beyond the Passion comes the promise of resurrection.

4th Sunday of Lent

John 9:1-41

The Gospel of Gospel of John 9:1–41 tells the story of Jesus healing a man who was blind from birth. Through this miracle, Jesus shows that true blindness is not only physical but also spiritual.

In this passage, Jesus Christ gives sight to the blind man, but the Pharisees remain blind to the truth even after witnessing the miracle. The healed man gradually grows in faith, while those who think they see refuse to believe. This reminds us that faith requires humility and openness. Sometimes we may also become spiritually blind when pride or judgment prevents us from recognizing God’s work in our lives. Like the blind man, we are invited to trust Jesus so that He may open our eyes and help us truly see.

2nd Sunday of Lent

Matthew 17:1-9

Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother,
and led them up a high mountain by themselves.
And he was transfigured before them;
his face shone like the sun
and his clothes became white as light.
And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them,
conversing with him.
Then Peter said to Jesus in reply,
“Lord, it is good that we are here.
If you wish, I will make three tents here,
one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
While he was still speaking, behold,
a bright cloud cast a shadow over them,
then from the cloud came a voice that said,
“This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased;
listen to him.”
When the disciples heard this, they fell prostrate
and were very much afraid.
But Jesus came and touched them, saying,
“Rise, and do not be afraid.”
And when the disciples raised their eyes,
they saw no one else but Jesus alone.

As they were coming down from the mountain,
Jesus charged them,
“Do not tell the vision to anyone
until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.”

Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Matthew 5:17-37

Jesus deepens the understanding of the law rather than abolishing it. He explains that righteousness is not just about outward obedience, but about the condition of the heart. When He speaks about anger being like murder or lust being like adultery, He challenges us to examine our inner thoughts and motives. Faith is not only about what we do publicly, but who we are privately.

Jesus calls His followers to a higher standard—one rooted in love, integrity, and truthfulness. His teaching on keeping our word reminds us that honesty should be so natural to us that we do not need elaborate promises. Overall, this passage invites self-reflection. It encourages me to look beyond surface-level goodness and ask whether my heart truly aligns with God’s will.

Matthew 5:1-12a

"When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up the mountain,
and after he had sat down, his disciples came to him.
He began to teach them, saying:
"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the land.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the clean of heart,
for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you
and utter every kind of evil against you falsely because of me.
Rejoice and be glad,
for your reward will be great in heaven."

Matthew 3:13-17

Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan
to be baptized by him.
John tried to prevent him, saying,
“I need to be baptized by you,
and yet you are coming to me?”
Jesus said to him in reply,
“Allow it now, for thus it is fitting for us
to fulfill all righteousness.”
Then he allowed him.
After Jesus was baptized,
he came up from the water and behold,
the heavens were opened for him,
and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove
and coming upon him.
And a voice came from the heavens, saying,
“This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
