The Grassroots to Gold Program embodies vision of cultivating athletic excellence from the community level to the national stage. Through strategic partnerships and strong local support, the program aims to empower young athletes by providing them with access to quality training, proper guidance, and modern facilities.

The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman Patrick “Pato” Gregorio and PSI Philippine Sports Institute (PSI) Head Ma’am Pearl Managuelod led the ceremonial turnover of new gym equipment to Vito L. Belarmino Senior High School, together with the school’s principal, Mr. Elmer Ariate, under the Grassroots to Gold Program.

With the support of QC Mayor Joy Belmonte, Vice Mayor Gian Sotto, and Schools Division Office, Quezon City Superintendent Dr. Carleen Sedilla, was chosen as the first recipient of this donation, made possible through the generous sponsorship of PSSLAI.

Also present at the event was Coach Chappy Callanta, who will conduct a three-day Strength and Conditioning Certification Program for Quezon City teacher-coaches, community coaches, and students of Vito L. Belarmino Senior High School.

Joining the ceremony as well were Quezon City Sports Development Office Head Jun Gayoso and Coach Danne Ramos.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed to making this initiative a reality. This project represents a significant step forward in Quezon City’s Sports Development Program and highlights our shared commitment to nurturing the next generation of Filipino athletes.

Together, we move from Grassroots to Gold, building a stronger foundation for the future champions of Quezon City and the nation.
