This morning, June 8, 2026, a momentous occasion unfolded at Pier 15, Manila South Harbor, where the MS Odyssey, also known as the Villa Vie Odyssey, was officially inaugurated as the world’s first Global Flagship of Peace by the UNESCO Center for Peace. This significant event coincided with World Oceans Day, serving as a reminder of our collective responsibility to uphold the health of our oceans.

The Young Voices of the Philippines had the honor of performing at this historic event, contributing to an atmosphere of hope and unity. The ceremony was not just a celebration of the ship itself but also a commitment to promoting education, cultural exchange, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals across the globe.

With the inauguration complete, the MS Odyssey is set to embark on an inspiring global journey, functioning as a mobile hub dedicated to fostering understanding and collaboration among nations. Here’s to a future where peace and sustainability sail hand in hand!
