The nation honors Manlilikha ng Bayan Yabing Masalon Dulo on her 112th Birth Anniversary.

Yabing Masalon Dulo thrived in her formative years within an inspiring atmosphere that fostered both creativity and artistry. In the time of Fu Yabing, the incorporation of forest fibers into artistic practices was vital for maintaining the bond between nature and culture, thus strengthening the essence of this connection.

While it might appear that Fu Yabing and her artistic creations were at odds with the dominant conventions, they were, in reality, liberated from the constraints of their natural and cultural environments. As she transitioned to a new way of life, moving away from her forest origins and immersing herself in a community that valued interpersonal connections over commercial pursuits, she preserved the tradition of crafting beautiful warp-ikat textiles. In spite of the challenges posed by differing systems, her extraordinary skill and steadfast dedication ultimately led her to achieve recognition and success.

Nakikiisa ang Palawan State University sa pagdiriwang ng ika-59 na anibersaryo ng ASEAN Day ngayong Agosto 8, 2026.

Ang ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) ay binubuo ng labing-isang bansa: Pilipinas, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, at Timor-Leste, na nagkakaisa tungo sa kapayapaan, seguridad, at pag-unlad ng rehiyon.

Ngayong 2026, ang Pilipinas ang tagapangulo ng ASEAN, taglay ang tema: "Navigating Our Future, Together."

Bilang bahagi ng pakikiisa at alinsunod sa Memorandum Circular No. 117 ng Tanggapan ng Pangulo, ipinapatugtog natin ang opisyal na ASEAN 2026 theme song na "One Vision, One Ocean" pagkatapos ng Lupang Hinirang tuwing flag ceremony at iba pang opisyal na gawaing pangkagawaran.
