I think people who have experienced staying—or even just walking—in a forest after the sun has set know this feeling well.
When there’s no source of light except your own, you barely see anything. Everything is muted, dim, almost swallowed by the dark.
But in the song, it says “kabilugan ng buwan.”
The taya (the seeker) doesn’t rely on their own light. They rely on the moon to find their kalaro.
And when the moon reaches its fullest, it gives just enough light to move, to search, to roam—even when you bring nothing of your own.
