Last August 1, I decided to join the Y**i BL Cosplay Contest FujoDanshi Fest kahit it was my first time joining a cosplay convention—especially one that was Y**i-oriented and required a cosplay skit sa contest. :3 May script ako, and I was prepared to do voice acting for my You Miyagi character as well. Actually, di ko alam ano pinasukan ko at anong criteria for judging haha Dinala ko lang yung y**i anime character "You Miyagi" from Junjou Romantica to stage

Sobrang ’di ko in-expect na I had to change my skit at the last minute kasi ramp with music pala ang eksena. It was challenging and fun at the same time! I had to think of a performance in the last minute that is iconic to the anime series "Junjou Romantica". Junjou Romantica was an all-out y**i yard-sale suckfest—stripping for all the fangirls and fanboys. 🤣🤣🤣

The transition from my solo cosplay skit performance—from nerdy to dirty—was giving OML, Magic Mike talaga ako papunta rito??? 😭🤣 Confidence lang talaga ambag ko dito in front of 200+ crowd. 🤭🤭🤭🤣🤣🤣

Nevertheless, naahon at natawid natin si You Miyagi from Junjou Romantica kasi naisip ko ang Junjou Romantica. Siguro next con, all-out hubaran na for the y**i fujoshis, fudanshis, and fandom? JKJKJK 🤣✌️ Hmmmm… 🤔🤭🤣

Didn’t win any place or anything, but this experience definitely taught me a lot that I can bring with me to future cosplay conventions. 🤩💪💪💪

Just walking onto that stage was already a win for me, because it was my first time cosplaying at a convention. It felt better than I ever expected, especially getting to ramp on the same stage with the cosers I had idolized throughout the event. 😻😻😻🤩

Today, nag-decide akong magpa-ahit ulit ng kilay into a specific shape based on the next anime character I’ll be cosplaying.

I’ve wanted to cosplay y**i anime characters ever since I was a teenager. Hahaha. Now that I’m in my prime 30s, this feels like the perfect time to cosplay more mature anime characters!

Biglaang cosplay decision lang para mas masaya ang first time kong umattend ng isang y**i convention with fellow y**i fangirls and fanboys! I’ll be cosplaying "You Miyagi" from the hit y**i anime Junjou Romantica at Metro Manila’s Y**i convention, FujoDanshi Fest on August 1.

See you, fujoshis and fudanshis! 🫶 Ito yata ang pinakamadaling cosplay na nabuo ko—nakuha ko lahat ng key costume pieces within the day kasi nasa department store lang lahat. 😁
