This is where Katorse becomes interesting.

The longer histories of Camille Dela Rosa, Maia Magpantay, Dante Enage, Jeff Dahilan, Darwin Guevarra, Christian Regis, Lara Latosa, and Raeche meet the different trajectories of Kutz De Jesus, Christian Gonzales, Mary Joy Go, Summer Pasana, Angelo Roxas, and Valerie Teng. They are not arranged here to establish who comes first or who comes next. Their practices simply occupy the same ground, and that proximity gives each work another context.

Nami Art Gallery invites you to Nature X Nurture, a solo exhibition by Abe Orobia

Nature does not care. Ilt moves without malice or pity--ceaseless, cyclical, and indifferent to human suffering. In one moment, it can destroy everything in its path; in the next, it provides the very conditions that make life possible. Ilt nurtures and it devastates. It provides and it deprives. Nature is neither cruel nor kind-it simply exists according to its own order.

Despite humanity's technological achievements, we remain profoundly dependent upon its rhythms. Every breath of clean air, every drop of drinkable water, and every season of abundance reminds us that nature is not merely a resource but an enduring expression of God's grace.

The figures in this exhibition embody both vulnerability and hope. Their exposed forms our shared fragility before the immensity of creation, while their crumpled golden speak of a divinity that has been wounded-but not entirely lost. Though imperfect humanity continues to possess the capacity for compassion, wisdom, and renewal.

As stewards of the Earth, we are entrusted with a responsibility that extends beyond environmental preservation. We are called to nurture not only the world around us but also the virtues within ourselves. Understanding nature requires understanding our own nature-our strengths, our limitations, and our power to create or destroy.

Nature x Nurture explores the intersection of ecology, spirituality, and moral responsibility It is an invitation to reflect on our relationship with creation and with one another. In recognizing both the beauty and the impermanence of life, we are reminded that our greatest legacy lies not in what we possess, but in what we choose to preserve.

Exhibit runs August 16-28, 2026

An abundant arrangement of pink blossoms unfolds across the canvas, with every petal delicately shaped to evoke softness, elegance, and natural movement.

The harmonious combination of blush pink, rose, and rich magenta creates a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere, while the graceful green stems add a touch of freshness and balance. More than a floral painting, the work captures the feeling of a garden in full bloomโ€”a symbol of beauty, renewal, femininity, and life.

This captivating floral artwork by Summer Pasana presents a lush gathering of delicate pink blossoms against a soft blush-toned background. The flowers overlap and unfold organically across the canvas, creating a sense of abundance, movement, and graceful rhythm. Layers of pale pink, rose, and deep magenta give each petal dimension, while the subtle green stems provide a refreshing contrast.

A New Ground for Seeing

Fourteen is an in-between number. Things are no longer quite where they began, but they have not yet settled into what they will become. It is a useful way to think about an exhibition of artists whose practices come from different histories and continue to change.

They are not arranged here to establish who comes first or who comes next. Their practices simply occupy the same ground, and that proximity gives each work another context.

๐‘ด๐’‚๐’“๐’Š๐’›๐’‰๐’‚๐’“โ€”add further voices to this encounter. They widen the range of the exhibition and bring their own histories into the same conversation.

Katorse does not attempt to name a movement or predict what these artists will become. It asks for something simpler and more demanding: to look carefully, to look again, and to notice what changes when one work is encountered beside another.
That is the ground this exhibition offers.

Not sameness, but proximity. Not a fixed conclusion, but room for the work to continue.

Fourteen artists. Different histories. A new ground for seeing.
