“Do not be afraid, little flock.”

Today, Jesus reminds us to trust God rather than be controlled by fear. Everything we have—our time, talents, family, work, and opportunities—is entrusted to us by God.

Being ready for the Lord means living faithfully today: loving, forgiving, serving, and doing what is right even when no one is watching.

Let us not worry about tomorrow. Instead, let us make the most of today and remain faithful to God in whatever He has entrusted to us.

Each day offers us an opportunity to become a little more like Christ—to listen with humble hearts, to forgive generously, to serve selflessly, and to love without conditions. When we allow God’s Word to take root in our lives, it transforms our hearts and becomes a blessing to those around us.

As we gather in worship today, may we not only hear the Gospel but also become living witnesses of it. Let our words bring hope, our actions reflect Christ’s love, and our lives proclaim the Good News.

May this Sunday renew our commitment to walk faithfully with the Lord, growing in faith and allowing His Word to enrich every aspect of our lives.

Many of us desire to follow Christ, but we often say, “Lord, let me first finish this,” or “Let me first take care of that.” While responsibilities are important, the Lord asks us to place Him at the center of our lives. Discipleship is not about convenience; it is about choosing Christ every day, even when the path is difficult.

As disciples today, we are called to let go of anything that keeps us from fully following Jesus: grudges, fears, unhealthy attachments, pride, or excessive worry about the future. The Lord invites us to move forward with faith, trusting that His grace is sufficient.

Trusting God’s Growth in Our Lives

In today’s Gospel, Jesus compares the Kingdom of God to a seed. A farmer plants it, and even without fully understanding how, it grows and bears fruit. He also speaks of the mustard seed, the smallest of seeds that becomes a large plant where birds can find shelter.

These parables remind us that God’s work often happens quietly and gradually. We may not always see immediate results from our prayers, service, ministry, or personal sacrifices, but God is constantly at work beneath the surface.

As disciples, we are called to plant seeds of faith, kindness, forgiveness, and love. Our responsibility is to remain faithful; God is responsible for the growth. Just as a tiny mustard seed becomes something great, even our smallest acts done with love can have a profound impact on others.

For those serving in ministry, work, family life, or community service, this Gospel encourages patience. Sometimes we become discouraged when we do not see immediate progress. Yet God invites us to trust His timing and His plan.

On this 7th Sunday of Easter and the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord, we are reminded that Jesus did not leave His disciples in fear, but in hope. Before ascending into heaven, He entrusted them with a mission — to continue spreading love, mercy, and the Good News to the world.

The Ascension teaches us that while Christ is no longer physically seen, His presence remains alive in us through faith, prayer, and service to others. It is also a reminder that heaven is our true home, and our daily lives should reflect God’s love and purpose.
