Three Days of Novena Mass Reflection

In Preparation for the Feast of Our Lady of Unity

As we journey through these three days of Novena Mass in preparation for the upcoming Feast of Our Lady of Unity, we are invited to deepen our faith and reflect on the meaning of being united as one family under the loving care of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Day 1 – United in Faith
Day 2 – United in Love and Service
Day 3 – United as One Community

As we celebrate the upcoming feast, may Our Lady of Unity guide and protect our families, our parish, and our entire community. May she teach us to walk together, pray together, serve together, and remain united in Christ.

Our Lady of Unity, pray for us. May we always be one in faith, one in love, and one in Christ. Amen.

“WHO AM I TO YOU?”

Faith is more than attending Mass, singing in the choir, praying, or knowing Scripture. These are important, but Jesus calls us to something deeper—a personal relationship with Him that transforms the way we serve, forgive, love, and treat others.

Peter was not chosen because he was perfect. He had weaknesses and would later make mistakes. Yet Jesus entrusted him with a mission. This reminds us that God does not wait for us to become perfect before He can use us. He asks us to be willing, faithful, and humble.

The Gospel also reminds us that the Church is not simply an organization. It is a community entrusted with the mission of bringing Christ to the world. Every ministry—whether we serve through music, teaching, leadership, charity, or simple acts of kindness—becomes meaningful when it points people toward Jesus.

Sometimes we want to follow Jesus while avoiding conflict, sacrifice, or inconvenience. But true discipleship asks us to choose Christ even when that choice is difficult.

Today, Jesus invites us to ask:

“Am I truly willing to stand for my faith, even when it is difficult?”

Being faithful does not mean looking for arguments or creating division. Rather, it means having the courage to live with truth, love, forgiveness, and integrity, even when others may not understand us.

May the fire of Christ burn within us—not to divide others, but to transform our hearts and become a light and witness to those around us.

“Do not be afraid, little flock.”

Today, Jesus reminds us to trust God rather than be controlled by fear. Everything we have—our time, talents, family, work, and opportunities—is entrusted to us by God.

Being ready for the Lord means living faithfully today: loving, forgiving, serving, and doing what is right even when no one is watching.

Let us not worry about tomorrow. Instead, let us make the most of today and remain faithful to God in whatever He has entrusted to us.

Lord Jesus, amid the demands and distractions of daily life, teach us to pause and listen to Your voice. Help us to place You first before all our work and responsibilities.

May every act of service flow from a heart that has first rested in Your presence. Amen.

Each day offers us an opportunity to become a little more like Christ—to listen with humble hearts, to forgive generously, to serve selflessly, and to love without conditions. When we allow God’s Word to take root in our lives, it transforms our hearts and becomes a blessing to those around us.

As we gather in worship today, may we not only hear the Gospel but also become living witnesses of it. Let our words bring hope, our actions reflect Christ’s love, and our lives proclaim the Good News.

May this Sunday renew our commitment to walk faithfully with the Lord, growing in faith and allowing His Word to enrich every aspect of our lives.

Many of us desire to follow Christ, but we often say, “Lord, let me first finish this,” or “Let me first take care of that.” While responsibilities are important, the Lord asks us to place Him at the center of our lives. Discipleship is not about convenience; it is about choosing Christ every day, even when the path is difficult.

As disciples today, we are called to let go of anything that keeps us from fully following Jesus: grudges, fears, unhealthy attachments, pride, or excessive worry about the future. The Lord invites us to move forward with faith, trusting that His grace is sufficient.
