Presenting to you the Taboanon

" The Bagat Dagat 2026 Title Holder"

JUST IN || After years of perseverance, dedication, and unwavering determination, the Taboanon Theatrical Marching Band (TTMB) of San Fernando, Masbate has finally reached the top, and clinched the title as the OVERALL CHAMPION and securing BEST IN MAJORETTE during the Drum and Lyre Competition of the Bagat Dagat Festival 2026 held in Cataingan, Masbate on June 24.

The victory marks a historic milestone for the band. In their first participation, TTMB finished as 2nd Runner-Up. The following year, they climbed higher as 1st Runner-Up. Now, on their third appearance, they completed their remarkable rise to the crown, proving that persistence, discipline, and hard work truly pay off.

Adding to the achievement, the band successfully defended its title in the majorette category, earning back-to-back Best in Majorette awards, a testament to the excellence, precision, and artistry consistently displayed by its performers.

Behind this triumph are the dedicated individuals who guided the team: Sir Noel G. Barias, Production Director and Overall Choreographer; Ysay, Trainer; and John Warren Pombo, Musical Director. Their leadership, together with the commitment of every band member, transformed countless hours of training into a championship performance.

The team also extends its heartfelt gratitude to the MDRRMO and RHU personnel for ensuring the health and safety of the delegates throughout the event, the Sangguniang Bayan Members led by Vice Mayor Hon. Fernando V. Mogueis for their unwavering support, and the hardworking MENRO Truck Boys whose efforts ensured the safe transport of instruments, props, and equipment.

Special recognition is likewise given to Municipal Mayor Hon. Maria Vida E. Bravo, whose continued support and encouragement helped make this achievement possible for the young performers of San Fernando.

More than a championship, this victory carries a deeper meaning. The entire performance and triumph were dedicated to the memory of Angelo Canares, a beloved member of the TTMB family. Though no longer marching alongside them, his spirit, passion, and love for music remained present in every note played and every step performed. This championship stands as a tribute to his life and the legacy he left behind. As the whole family grieves, they also thrived and marched for him.

From 2nd Runner-Up, to 1st Runner-Up, and now Champion, the journey of the Taboanon Theatrical Marching Band is a story of resilience, growth, and unwavering belief. Their victory is not only a win for the band but a source of pride for the entire Municipality of San Fernando and every Taboanon they proudly represent.

Congratulations, Champions! The climb is complete, but the legacy marches on. 🏆
