“Herstory” Galerie Joaquin’s Celebration of Women Artists at Rockwell Bridgeway 🌸
Exhibit runs from March 4-17, 2024
To mark the annual celebration of Women’s Month, Galerie Joaquin brings together over 25 female artists for a women-centered exhibit titled “Herstory.” United with the different organizations, government agencies, and initiatives that are organizing efforts to empower and recognize Filipino women of all ages, Galerie Joaquin aims to celebrate not only the concerns, issues, ideas, and inspirations reflected in the works but more so, the artists themselves.
A mix of both figurative and abstract art, the pieces allow the viewers to connect with both the artwork and each artist’s personal story. The paintings and sculptures offer new perspectives and varied approaches through personal narratives from the artists’ lives. Works by the following artists will be featured throughout the 2 week exhibition: Isab Angeles, Jo Balbarona, Caress Banson, Karina Baluyut, Jovan Benito, Ronna Lara-Bes, Joy Calanasan, Astrid Castillo, Kwin Chi, Camille dela Rosa, Jane Ebarle, Patricia Gan, Ella Hipolito, April Lopez, Rafaelle Louise, Raisa Luz, Ann Moneda, Cab Nov, Marge Organo, Joan Palero, Ada Panopio, Jax Pasimio, Elie Quial, Jinky Lorenzo-Reynoso, Haraya Ocampo Tejido, and Camille Ver.
