March 20, 2026 at 4:21 AM. I woke up with a very lively feel since last night, the conversation with my parents was very fruitful. I woke up at exactly 2:55 (time in my phone). I ended at around this time. And in my Rosary, which I immediately did upon waking up until around the same time I started writing this, I got a message from the ‘BULONG’ in my head. Here is the message/words: IF DETERMINED SHOW/SHED BLOOD BE BLESSED FOLLOW LIFE. Every word or two I got as I was reflecting on the mysteries of the Rosary. And this is in relation to my previous post about the Rosary.

At the end of my Rosary, I thought that the message was for me and me alone. But my ‘BULONG’ told me: share this with your classmates, especially with the priests. So now, I’m giving you classmates all this note firsthand. Then by the end, another message: this is like a puzzle to be solved. I don’t know if I should be the one to solve this, but then again, the message said to give this to our priests. This reflection I end as I feel overwhelmed by this few words yet clear message I got from my Rosary. Those who have eyes read, comprehend, meditate, reflect then act. I leave this first to you my dear brothers and sisters. [reworded for general view].

12:35 Saturday, February 28, 2026: I should stop this noise again inside my head. It’s telling me something again. I haven’t been able to reinforce my piece on LGBT, and now here I am again faced with a dilemma. Heart pounding, my fingers itching to write my brain out as, if I don’t, this may explode to a random fight with my wife, a coldness that’ll seep into my every action, or a boredom that I can’t quench just by watching my favorite anime or my hobby on writing novels. So, let me just write and be done with it.
Before I start this reflection, let me be clear first. This piece, again, is not a reflection of me being a Catholic. This is my own point of view, and not that of the Church. This, instead, is my reflection as a Filipino. This is also a reflection of a battle being waged not of spiritual but of politics. I may not be a political analyst, but I am a social scientist. I am not a blogger/vlogger but a writer. And now, I write not as the new Iscariot, but as a Judas. And, although this point of view will take something of the spiritual battles being waged, let me be clear that this is how I use sophistry. Still, with all this, I ask now as I may be seen as a total Judas: May the Almighty Father, in Christ Jesus, and the hovering of the Holy Spirit, with Our Mother Mary and the Saints, who were and will forever be true to Him, may guide this spear.

A Letter to the Filipinos, ICC, the Big Three: Russia, America and China, the SEAblings and those who may read this:

It has been almost a week since I started hearing, reading and reflecting this thing with my wife who is my only counsel now. And it’s been almost a year when I was able to discuss this with my too-eager, know-it-all, super-genius mom who is by the way a fan. This is about what happened to the former President Rody Duterte, or tatay Digong for short and this fiasco that is still going on and is being tuned in by the world. I may not be his fan (nope, I am truly not his fan. I opt to be seen and inclined with the late Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago, and she was the one I voted for presidency) but this international circus ticks me off. Now, instead of me sitting quietly at home and happily writing my novels, I was kicked on the gut again and forced by this ‘whisper’ in my head to write something about this one. So I got no choice but to choose a side, reflect and then prioritize this first before my other reflections and novels. I hope someone pulls the rug off me as I may sound ridiculous again and off with what I am writing. Please feel free to bash.

A note from my idol senator
I was able to view one of the speeches of the late Senator Miriam and let me reiterate this as this is already said by Atty. Kaufman: the former PRRD should not be tried first by the ICC but by the Philippine court, and this is also cited by a retired judge of the Supreme Court. Now again, what does this entail? This, if I may borrow the late Senators words, a blatant insult to not only to the sovereignty of the Philippines but also a slap in the face of the Supreme Court of the Philippines! Just imagine: how many times did the legislative body tried to dress up like prosecutors and jurors? Some senators states: we can somehow bend the law?? Some even stated: the court is not familiar with the system of the legislature?? and you dare to call this country democratic?? What happened to the check and balance of the 3 bodies of the state?? And these supposed senators, who are not even lawyers, dares to question Supreme Court judges who have extensive knowledge and practice of the law and constitution?? I wouldn’t be surprised if my idol’s grave is turning right now because of this idiotic move! And now, you expect us to believe that the ‘turn-over’ of the case of FPPRD to The Hague is not politically motivated? Yeah, tell that to the 18 ex marines.

The Sophistry
I still weren’t able to watch the full ICC reading and hearing but I somehow got a few glimpses of it from posts by both the prosecution and the defendants. And one of the highlights that triggered me came from the speech/es of the prosecution. I don’t want to name names but I’d like to quote one that said: the EJK victims may be left “forever moored” if legal proceedings does not follow through. Funny thing is, this is supposed to be a battle between logical minds, not between a man of law and Shakespeare. But then again, I wouldn’t be able to write this one if not for this.
a. Drug War as the New Inquisition and Crusades
The Drug War was a WAR. And just like any other war, and I suggest that you watch films, documentaries and historical records about any war, there is always a chance to have casualties, even innocent ones. If I may be so bold as to say this: ANY AND EVERY WAR IS NOT AND WILL NEVER BE HUMANITARIAN! May it be a cold war, a civil war or a full-scale world war, a war is a war. Period. No sophist, dreamer, ideologist and even religious can prove otherwise. In a face of conflict, even innocents are not spared. Even during a friendly fire, a friendly can be shot dead. A simple road rage can lead to bloodshed. A spiritual battle gone wrong could be detrimental to health and even fatal. So, if we are to relate or to compare the Drug War with these ‘battles’, how do we put a scale to its chaos? In simplest terms, on a scale of 1 to 10, such battles ranges from just 1 to 3…and wars are 10…or worse.
I am really astounded to the point of absurdity, when one government official claimed that TOKHANG literally means to KILL. Now, as a Bisaya myself, I don’t know whether to laugh or to cry as the real purpose and meaning of TOKHANG or from its two etymological terms: TOKTOK (knock) and HANGYO (encourage) means a supposedly peaceful cry of: please surrender yourself for those addicts. And, if I may be so bold again, I would like to compare this to the Inquisition. It was recorded that, during those times, the Church was the one that served as inquisitor or the prosecutor while the State served as the judge and executor. And let us take note that, during those times, there are both guilty and innocents, wherein alchemist and scientist burned on the stake for being witches and such. Yet, in this TOKHANG which I now brand as the New Inquisition, was chock-full of guilty individuals than innocents.
And what of the Crusades? One of the posts I encountered stated that: if not for the Crusades, then much of the world would have become Muslims than Christians. Now, let me be bold again as to say and ask: if not for the TOKHANG, don’t you think we would be branded as NONCHALANT or BANGAG than FILIPINOS? If not for one man’s very bold and daring move that defied the press, that defied other countries’ call for ‘humanity’ while ignoring the stronger pleas of the innocents, then I…we never would have thought that illegal drugs and the omens they brought could possibly be reduced, even eradicated completely! In these times wherein: Russia suppressed Ukraine, Africa is still full of armed tribes, the Middle East is still the ‘land of terrorists’, and the Philippines is still just a canon-fodder, there was one bold man who stood up and said: WELCOME TO MY NEW CRUSADE! LET’S WAGE WAR ON DRUGS!

b. A Choice between Barabbas and Caiaphas
Let us be clearer here, yet this is still sophistry. As I was, again, able to review some of the viewpoints presented by both the prosecutors and the defendants in front of the ICC judges, I can’t help but compare this to a very philosophical question (and I think this can also be a theological question, but I don’t know. Again, I was not a theologian): if the choice during the trial of Pontius Pilate is between that of Barabbas and Caiaphas, who would you choose? Because, if you think about this fiasco of an international hearing more clearly, this is one of the very real questions that we can post for them judges.
I dare compare thus: that Barabbas are the supposed EJK victims and Caiaphas is Former PRRD. Let us then compare what most view of the two. Barabbas was said to be an apparent reckless and rebellious agent in the bible story. If you can see, most of the EJK victims presented are guilty of being Barabbas: addicts, pushers that resulted to most of them being thieves and even killers. And on the other ringside, a ‘self-proclaimed’ Caiaphas who almost said: let us sacrifice a few to save a nation.
Yet, this I wonder: why does some state that this is like a trial between saints/martyrs and a tyrant? This is absurdity! So, drug pushers or drug lords, if proven that they are somewhat like Robinhood that give free w**d, dope or coke to the less fortunate can be martyrs now? This is a joke right?? And not that funny. Now, ladies and gents, let this new Iscariot give you a kiss from Pontius Pilate: who will you free? Barabbas? Or Caiaphas? Is it worth it to give justice to Barabbas and not to Caiaphas? Let the first nail that will strike either be the one from the true voice. I wonder what happened to: VOX POPULI, VOX DEI?

c. Judas’ Kiss: Human Life or Human Rights?
This will not take long, since, as the title implies, this is a question: what is more important? Human Lives or Human Rights? It’s because, if you look closely on some of the posts about this, it seems that they are more in favor of rights than lives. What matters is that we are right. Forget if we are either alive or six feet under, as long as we have rights. Yeah, right. Tell that to those innocents who suffered under the hands of the addicts. Tell that to the loving families of those who were ruined because of drugs. And how will we believe your human rights if you are condemning someone who wants to bring down drugs that impede your so-called human rights? Because they too were victims? Because they were just doing those things for the sake of their rumbling stomachs? Yeah, right. As if a loaf of bread or canned sardines is way more expensive than a hit of coke or w**d, yeah? Or even a cigarette? Or a gin? Again, yeah right. Tell that to the ex-marines. DON’T US!

A Call of an Ordinary Filipino to the People and Nations
Thus, this is a call of an ordinary writer, a Filipino, who sees the true numbers here:
To Russia, China, North Korea, the Americas and especially to the SEAblings. Some of you are that of the ICC. Some are not. I, in behalf of the Filipinos who long to bring back the little of Filipino Pride we got due to this international fiasco, ask that you, who can force hands, intervene for us. Please intervene for our Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Please stop us from shaming our own country. Please give us back the person who we see as someone who can govern us with an IRON WILL. If my idol, Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago was the IRON LADY, give us back our IRON DRAGON. He may spout some profanities most of the time, but his genuine love for the Philippines is that of legends. The TRUE GEN. ANTONIO LUNA reincarnated as our former president. If you can give your disapproval to the Israel – Iran war, maybe you can do something for our former president too.

To my fellow Filipinos, both in and out of the country. Hear this! This is not a promise but a suggestion. That Sarah Duterte, as political analysts say, will surely win the elections no matter what the outcome in the Hague will be. And thus, I suggest: I’m formerly for former VP Leni Robredo as president, but upon thinking deeper, our country does not need a ‘super-homely’ president. And this I mean in a UK version, not an American version. What we need right now is another dragon, or a tiger. Hontiveros, unfortunately, is neither. So is Tulfo. So is Trillanes. Oh, did I mention that De Lima and Luistro are just a fingernail of Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago? So, the best bet: Sarah Duterte. A reflection of Davao’s, Mindanao’s and Bisaya’s finest. I’m not a troll. I’m definitely not a DDS. Heck, I even consider PRRD as inhumane! Inhumanely terrifying. Inhumanely profound. Inhumanely strategic. Yet, he deserves to be placed as a BAYANI as much as Antonio Luna and all others who risked a limb or two for this country.

On Mary: Mother of God
Pero ito pala ay tungkol sa directive ni mismong Pope Leo XVI na nagsabing: stop referring to Our Mother Mary as Co-Redemptrix and Mediatrix, since only Jesus Christ, and this is well stated in the Bible, that only He is the Savior.
Reflection:
Even though I agree with the Pope as being the Vicar, it does not erase the questions that popped out of my head when I read this article. Wherein, although I haven’t read the whole article that I still have something to confirm if: 1. This is done from the Seat. 2. If this was thoroughly and been decided by the majority of the College. 3. What is the take of the Mariologists?
Now, here is my reflection of this issue with the questions of my own:
1. Will this move affect our devotion to Our Mother Mary?
2. If this will affect heavily on our Marian devotion, then what about the messages of our Mother? Fatima? Guadalupe? The Holy Rosary? Titles that are given to Our Mother that are closely linked to the 2 titles?
3. If this will affect greatly our Marian devotion, does this mean that this is a ‘strategic shift’ that will greatly emphasize the Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, while diminishing His humanity that can be viewed ‘through the eyes of His Mother’?
This needs a further reflection and meditation. I, as the new Iscariot, will, with painstaking and somewhat heretical approach as I am but a philosopher and not a theologian nor an expert in the Bible, plus my unworthiness as I am still supposedly under a ‘leash’ as I have not yet received Confession and Communion, I invoke, through my faith in the One True God, my right as His faithful to cite a few Bible verses that will support my point. 1. Our Mother Mary as the ‘key’ to Jesus’ humanity. Let me be clear, if I may, on this one. Let this be known that, as a disclaimer, this concept may or may not reflect what is or what is not already stated by the Church. This is, again, my own reflection. Now the passage I want to emphasize is the passage of the: Finding of the Child Jesus at the Temple. As you can see, there is the verse there that states like so: when they found Jesus, He said to them: “Why do you seek me? Did you not know that I should be in the house of My Father?” but then, Mother Mary and St. Joseph ‘reprimanded’ Him and He obeyed. In this passage, we can somewhat get a glimpse and assume certain things: 1. That Jesus, although still in human form, even if He still was but a child then, has already a very Godly wisdom beyond anyone’s age. It was very apparent as He was found preaching in front of the Pharisees. Then again, if we look closely on the scene, we could somehow tell that: even if His wisdom of God is very profound, His wisdom that of humanity is ‘somewhat’ lacking (O my Jesus, my Savior. This is not to belittle Your profound wisdom. I would just like to emphasize that You became Truly Human then). 2. Therefore, if notion 1 is true, that Jesus is somewhat lacking in His wisdom on human aspect, then who taught Him how to be human? Well, the verse is very clear.

What Happens in Heaven When You Pray the Rosary ✝🙏👇

The Rosary is one of the most loved prayers in the Catholic Church. For centuries, saints, popes, and mystics have praised it. Yet many people still wonder what really happens when someone prays it. Is it just repetition, or does Heaven truly notice?

According to Scripture, the saints, and the long tradition of the Church, your Rosary does not stay on earth. Something deeper is happening.

1. Your Rosary Rises Before God
When you pray the Rosary, your prayer rises before God’s throne. Revelation 5:8 gives a powerful image: “The four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each had a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.” Your prayers are like incense before God. Every Hail Mary, every Our Father, even the Rosaries prayed while tired or distracted, are gathered and presented before Him. None of them are wasted.

2. Mary Receives Each Prayer Like a Rose
The word Rosary comes from rosarium, meaning a garden or crown of roses. Catholic tradition teaches that each Hail Mary is like a spiritual rose offered to the Blessed Virgin Mary. St. Louis de Montfort wrote: “When you say your Rosary, the angels and saints join with you in it and unite their prayers to yours.” Mary receives these prayers with a mother’s love and presents them to Jesus. What seems small on earth becomes something beautiful in Heaven.

3. Angels and Saints Join the Prayer
When you pray the Rosary, you are not praying alone. The Communion of Saints surrounds the Church. The angels hear the same greeting Gabriel spoke to Mary: “Hail, full of grace” (Luke 1:28). The saints who loved the Rosary during their lives now join their prayers with yours. Saints like St. John Paul II, St. Padre Pio, and St. Louis de Montfort leaned heavily on this prayer. When you take up the beads, you step into that same stream of prayer.

4. The Mysteries Draw You Into Christ’s Life
The Rosary is not just words. It is a meditation on the life of Jesus. The Annunciation, the Crucifixion, the Resurrection. Each mystery leads the heart deeper into the Gospel. The Catechism explains this kind of prayer: “Contemplation is a gaze of faith, fixed on Jesus. ‘I look at Him and He looks at me.’” (CCC 2715). When you meditate on these mysteries, you are quietly placing your heart before Christ.

5. Graces Flow Back to Earth
The Rosary has long been linked to conversion, protection, and peace. This is why Our Lady of Fatima told the children again and again: “Pray the Rosary every day for peace in the world.” We often do not see the results right away, but grace moves in ways we cannot measure. Hearts soften. Souls return to God. Strength is given to the suffering and the dying. Your Rosary may be helping someone you will never meet on this side of eternity.

6. Even a Distracted Rosary Matters
Many people worry that their Rosary is not perfect. The mind wanders. Focus slips. But God sees the effort of the heart. St. Louis de Montfort once said: “A single Hail Mary, said well, shakes all of hell.” Even a Rosary prayed imperfectly, but with faith, is precious before God.

Final Reflection
When you pray the Rosary, far more is happening than you can see. Your prayer rises before God. Mary receives it with love. Angels and saints join in. Christ pours grace back into the world. Even your weakest Rosary is noticed in Heaven. That is why so many saints clung to it, especially in difficult times. St. Padre Pio once said: “The Rosary is the weapon for these times.”

💬 Do you believe the Rosary truly changes what happens in the world, or is it mainly for personal peace?

🙏 We fly to Thy protection, O Holy Mother of God.
Do not despise our petitions in our necessities,
but deliver us always from all dangers,
O Glorious and Blessed Virgin.

📜 This is the oldest known prayer to Mary as the Mother of God! In 1917, a small fragment of Egyptian papyrus was acquired by the John Rylands Library in Manchester. Analysis revealed the text of the Sub Tuum Praesidium written in Greek. Paleographic evidence dates the papyrus to approximately 250 AD. This means Christians were seeking Mary's protection during the era of Roman persecutions (likely under Decius or Valerian), long before the Church officially defined Marian doctrines.

Last Sunday, our Parish Priest stated in his homily that: there are ways to fast. and going offline or not using social media is one of them. so, i decided to not engage or post as much as possible. and i did. i almost got no post or reflection for a couple of days (a week or two even!). but then, as i finished my Rosary today, i realized something: 1. there are other ways to fast; 2. silence in the face of chaos is not fasting, but silent acknowledgment; 3. silence is not charity, but rather selfishness not to share what you ought to share. so, instead of going silent, i decided to reflect and engage with humility. my wife says: a single comment is enough if you already said what you need to say. no need to defend yourself much. since, if you commented then someone engaged with your comment/s, that means that you have truth in your words. and that will be my charity for the rest of Lent: O Lord, i dedicate to You my spear (my pen). use me, Your spear as you see fit. Let this new Iscariot know his place. i bow to You. i humble myself before You, my God and my Greatest Mentor. let my words be true. and may my words be like diamonds. this i give to Your faithful. 🙏♥️🌹✝️🇻🇦

True Free will is not a choice between what is good and evil. TRUE FREE WILL is the WILLINGNESS TO CHOOSE GOOD TO AVOID EVIL. it was stated: even evil persons know not to give his/her child a snake if he/she asks for bread. this clearly shows that HUMANS ARE INHERENTLY EQUIPPED TO CHOOSE WHAT IS GOOD. no human are dumb enough to choose evil when presented with what is good. now to this question: if we'll have free will in heaven, is simple. YES! why? as i said, free will is the choice to do good and avoid evil. now, if you are in the presence of ABSOLUTE GOODNESS, then you choosing Him everyday for the rest of your existence is the most wonderful blessing your so called free will can take yeah?

✝ Catholic Prayer for Freedom from Debt and Financial Abundance

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Heavenly Father,
I come before You today with a humble heart, burdened by debt and financial struggles. You are the God who provides for the birds of the air and the lilies of the field, and You have promised never to abandon Your children.

Lord Jesus, You became poor so that through Your poverty, we might become rich—not just in material things, but in faith, hope, and love. I ask for Your mercy and guidance in my finances. Help me to manage wisely the resources You entrust to me. Deliver me from every spirit of waste, greed, and anxiety.

Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Perpetual Help, intercede for me before your Son. Undo the knots of my financial worries, just as you interceded at the wedding in Cana.

Holy Spirit, my Helper and Advocate, grant me wisdom, creativity, and opportunities that will lead me to financial freedom and abundance. Open doors for me where there seem to be none. Inspire me to use my gifts and talents for God’s glory.

Father, I surrender my debts and financial burdens into Your hands. Replace them with stability, sufficiency, and generosity, so that I may not only provide for my family but also bless the poor and support the work of Your Church.

Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Our Father… Hail Mary… Glory Be…

✨ You can pray this daily, especially after the Rosary or before the Blessed Sacrament, trusting in God’s providence.

Forming Healers in Mercy and Truth

The practice of medicine demands more than technical skill. It calls for a formation that recognizes the dignity of the human person—body and soul. That is why the 21st Annual Divine Mercy Medicine, Bioethics, & Spirituality Conference returns this spring to the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Academic credit is available for CEUs and CMEs for healthcare professionals.

Held April 29–30, followed by a half-day retreat on May 1, this conference is organized by Healthcare Professionals for Divine Mercy, an official apostolate of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception. The theme this year, “Mercy and Spirituality for Healthcare Professionals,” addresses the growing need for clinicians to integrate faith, compassion, and sound ethical formation into their daily practice.

The Church has been at the forefront of healthcare since the time of Christ Himself, who healed both bodies and souls. That mission continues today. As the Catechism teaches, care for the sick must always respect the inherent dignity of the human person (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2276). In an era of moral complexity and professional strain, healthcare workers need formation that strengthens not only competence, but conscience. This year’s conference will feature expert presentations across many disciplines, addressing current challenges in medicine and bioethics while offering practical ways to integrate spirituality into patient care. Participants may attend in person at the Shrine or virtually online, making this formation accessible to healthcare professionals worldwide.
