The culture of theatre in Arellano University is something I’ve always described as 𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆, 𝒂 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒃𝒊𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒖𝒎𝒂-𝒅𝒖𝒎𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂 𝒘𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝒍𝒐𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒅 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒐𝒔 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒗𝒆. And somehow, in the middle of all that, something real is built.
TA became a third place. A space where you are safe. Where you are allowed to think—critically, creatively, honestly. Between home and school, TA became that 𝒑𝒂𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒉𝒂𝒏 in a world that moves too fast, in a system that often feels too rigid. And I take so much pride in knowing that TA became a home, not just a space, but a feeling people can return to.
Here, you break barriers, the fourth wall, your fears, even the versions of yourself you thought you had to stay in. You laugh without holding back, you fail loudly, you recover quietly, and you grow alongside people who are also figuring things out: themselves, their art, their purpose, and life in general. TA has always been about discovery. About meaning. About knowing that even when things feel uncertain, you are not navigating the world alone. You have people. You have your 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒐𝒕—clingy, chaotic, but always there.
And TA only became this because of the people who chose to show up, again and again, front and center, behind the curtains, and everywhere in between.
So this isn’t a goodbye to the seniors. It’s a challenge. Go out there. Take what you’ve learned and make something of it. But never forget, you can always come home. When you need rest, when you need silence, when you need to create again, TA will be here.
TA taught you to manage everything: the backstage panic, the missed cues, the silent fixes, the loud recoveries, and the art of holding it together even when things fall apart. And honestly, that’s where the beauty is.
I hope you truly enjoyed your time here, because I mean it, I will get mad if you didn’t. 🤣
𝑴𝒊𝒎𝒊, I’ve always seen how you step up, quietly but surely. The way you manage both stage and people gives me a sense of peace. I know things will be okay when you’re around. I just wish we had more time together, but I trust there will be more moments ahead. You are steady, reliable, and grounded. Pressure doesn’t shake you, you carry it with grace. Gets ba? Gets!
𝑽𝒆𝒆, I witnessed your growth firsthand. From hesitations to bold steps, from staying in your comfort zone to fully embracing the chaos of this space. You didn’t just adapt, you owned your space. You learned how to lead, how to create, how to fight for your place in a world that can be unforgiving. And now, I know, you’re ready to open bigger doors. That’s who you are. And you’re the best at it.
𝑹𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒆𝒓, the loudest in the room, and sometimes, exactly what we needed. Your energy kept us sane. Your presence, familiar. Your humor is not k lang. But beyond that, I see how you carry yourself with confidence and awareness. You lead calmly even in chaos, and you take charge when it matters. You’re sharp, reliable, and a strong pillar when everything feels like it’s about to fall apart.
𝑬𝒍𝒐𝒊𝒔𝒂, you’ve come so far. I remember when you were quiet, almost hesitant, and then I saw you transform. I heard your voice fill the space, powerful and undeniable, especially during the first-ever DuLagim. You didn’t just grow, you became a mother. (Inside joke po ito). As Associate Company Manager, you carried a role that demands both heart and strength. And I hope, in some way, I helped you see just how capable you’ve always been.
𝑫𝒆𝒍, you know the battles, the visible and the unseen. You’ve carried so much while making it all look composed. Balancing work, academics, and leading as Company Manager is no small feat. It’s a role that asks you to wear every hat, solve every problem, and still move forward. And you did. You held the group together. You made things happen. You are steady, disciplined, and quietly powerful. Yes, because you are trained under me 🙄, but everything you’ve become is because of you. I just guided (and made utos, of course). My only challenge for you now: learn how to rest.
To all of you, break a leg!
Carry the light. Carry the purpose.
Continue to be the Sinag at Diwa.
