A Kapengmukha Production produced by Therese Malvar and directed by Jaime Morados
In the depths of an isolated forest, Joaquin and his father, Ferds, hunt monsters for a living—but their latest catch forces them to confront unsettling truths, testing their bond and their grip on reality.
Help us bring this mixed-media thriller to life and be part of a story about breaking cycles, facing the monsters we think we know, and choosing a different path.
We’re honored to share that “Nagahanaw na mga Aninipot (The Vanishing Fireflies)” will be screening at the EMA Human Rights Film Festival this 13 December 2025 at the Global Campus of Human Rights in the Monastery of San Nicolò, Riviera San Nicolò 26, Lido di Venezia. 🎥✨
Catch our film during the morning short-film session. 🌞📽️
Huge thanks to the festival for this meaningful platform and for including our story among this year’s selections. 🤍🙏

Kapengmukha is an arts and entertainment collective, and production company that focuses on producing and promoting art in different mediums, but mostly film. Founded with the vision of introducing something new to the youth not just for the sake of art, but for the sake of what is being engraved on the minds of our audience.
The whole concept of Kapengmukha or Coffee Face was derived from the idea of putting on a mask and changing the way you look, almost entirely, to be loved by others. No matter how much it changes and shapes you, an idea we want our audiences to see and realize through our content. That, or we just love coffee and there’s actually no meaning behind it.
