Lito Atienza: It’s very important and even critical to develop culture and arts it because it’s the soul of a nation. I’ve been a singer, a dancer, a painter. I’ve been aware of the values of music. In Manila, when I was a mayor, we

organized special events, concerts, stage plays, dances, and ballet shows. I brought in shows, even international shows, to expose and educate our poor communities on the performances of the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra and Manila Chorale. We opened opportunities for specially-gifted children of Manila to train in singing and dancing. I put up the Manila Dance Center , a world-class dance studio. We have 200 dance scholars who receive free training on ballet, jazz, folk dance. These scholars are reaping rewards (and get chances of performing in international shows.)

GOT TALENT? We are inviting you on January 25 (Saturday) at 1:30 PM to be part of our group and explore your potential in dance. If you are creative, love to dance and a versatile dancer, come and join Hiyas ng Pilipinas Dance Troupe under the Lito Atienza Cultural Arts Foundation. We are looking for new scholars with the following criteria:
- You are between 8-16 years old (Boy or Girl)
- The monthly combined income of both parents is below Php10,000.00
- You are less fortunate (came from poor family)
- You are talented and dedicated to dance
- You are studying in any Public School in Manila
- You are not a member of any other dance group

Hi everyone!
In celebration of National Heritage Month, in partnership of Intramuros Administration, Department of Tourism - Philippines and the Lito Atienza Cultural Arts Foundation, we would like to invite you in Fort Santiago, Intramuros, Manila every Saturday 10AM and 4PM in front of Rajah Sulayman's Mural to witness the performance of gifted scholars of the Hiyas ng Pilipinas Dance Troupe. They will be performing various traditional dances reflecting the many facets of Philippine culture. Come and visit the historical Fort Santiago for only P75.00 with free cultural show.
