21st Sunday in Ordinary Time

Today’s Gospel reminds us that following Jesus is not simply about being familiar with Him or calling ourselves Christians. Jesus tells us to “strive to enter through the narrow gate.” The narrow gate represents a life of faith that requires commitment, humility, sacrifice, and perseverance.

Sometimes we may want an easy faith a faith that asks little from us. But Jesus invites us to something deeper. To enter through the narrow gate means choosing what is right even when it is difficult, forgiving when we have been hurt, serving others when we receive nothing in return, and remaining faithful when life becomes challenging.

Today, let us ask ourselves: Am I truly walking with Jesus, or am I simply comfortable with my faith? May we have the courage to choose the narrow path the path of love, truth, mercy, and faithfulness.

Happy Sunday mga ka-choir! 💚🤍

20th Sunday in Ordinary Time

The Gospel today reminds us that faith is not always about receiving an immediate answer from God. Sometimes, faith means continuing to trust even when God seems silent.
The Canaanite woman comes to Jesus with a painful and urgent request: “Lord, help me.” At first, Jesus does not answer her. Even when she continues to plead, she encounters what seems like rejection. Yet she does not walk away. She remains humble, persistent, and trusting.

Finally, Jesus praises her: “O woman, great is your faith!” Her faith was great not because everything went according to her plan, but because she continued to believe in Jesus even when the answer was not yet clear

19th Sunday in Ordinary Time

In today’s Gospel, the disciples find themselves in the middle of a storm. The wind is strong, the waves are frightening, and Jesus is not with them in the boat. They are afraid and uncertain about what will happen. Yet in the midst of their fear, Jesus comes toward them, walking on the water. He tells them, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.”

There are moments in our lives when we feel as though we are caught in a storm. We may face problems in our family, difficulties at work, financial worries, disappointments, or uncertainty about the future. Sometimes we pray, but the storm does not immediately stop. We may even wonder where God is.

The Gospel reminds us that Jesus does not always calm the storm immediately, but He comes to us in the middle of it. His presence gives us the courage to continue.

Happy rainy Sunday mga ka-choir! 🩷🤍

18th Sunday in Ordinary Time

In today's Gospel, Jesus responds to a crowd that is tired, hungry, and searching for hope. Instead of sending them away, He tells His disciples, "Give them some food yourselves." What seemed impossible feeding thousands with only five loaves and two fish became more than enough when those simple gifts were placed in His hands.

This Gospel reminds us that God does not ask us to have everything. He asks us to offer what we have. Our time, kindness, talents, and even our weaknesses can become instruments of His grace when surrendered to Him.

The miracle is not only about bread. It is about compassion, generosity, and faith. When we allow Christ to work through us, He provides abundantly not only for our needs but also for the needs of others.

Happy Sunday mga ka-choir! 💙❤️
