𝑭𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒉 𝒊𝒏 𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 “𝒀𝒆𝒔”

“Blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it.” — Luke 11:28

As I reflected on this week’s Gospel, I realized that following God isn’t always about doing extraordinary things. It’s about saying “yes” to him even in the small, quiet moments of my life. There are times when I question his plans because they don’t happen the way I expect, yet he continues to remind me that his timing is always better than mine.

This week’s message challenged me to stop relying on my own understanding and trust that every season I’m in is preparing me for something greater. My prayer this week is to keep choosing him daily, even when the path ahead isn’t completely clear.

🎶 An Evening of Divine Music
A fundraising concert for the Installation of the Carillon
Featuring Basil Valdez, with special performances from Rev. Fr. Carlos V. Reyes, Coro Jesù and Canticos del Santuario.

Some sounds simply fade away. But some sounds remain—and continue to remind us that God is always calling.

The National Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe hopes to give our community a lasting voice of prayer, hope, and faith through the installation of a Carillon—one that will not simply be heard within the walls of the Shrine, but will become part of the life and memory of our community.

One day, the sound of these bells may call hearts to prayer, mark moments of celebration, and gently remind everyone who hears them that there is always a place where faith comes home.

And with every ring, a part of our community will be part of its story.

On 24 October 2026, let us come together not simply to enjoy an evening of beautiful music, but to help begin something that will continue to speak long after the music ends.

We are not simply helping install bells. We are helping give faith a voice that future generations will hear.

𝑰𝒏 𝑭𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉, 𝑾𝒆 𝑮𝒊𝒗𝒆

In last Sunday’s Gospel, we are reminded that true sustenance comes from Jesus. Just as He tasked the disciples to feed the crowd with five loaves and two fishes, we are also challenged to bring what little we think we have - our time, talent, or presence - for Him to multiply and bring hope to others. In this way, we do not only feel satisfaction from Jesus feeding us, but even more from following in His footsteps and sharing His abundant love and grace with the world.

Canticos del Santuario conducted its first anniversary thanksgiving concert, Deo Gratias: Singing a Year of Gratitude, held on July 25 at San Juan Diego Chapel, South Cembo, Taguig City.

We wholeheartedly extend our gratitude to our partners, sponsors, and volunteers who shared their time, talent, prayers, and support, making this milestone event memorable and successful.

A year of singing for His glory—and many more to come!

𝑯𝒊𝒔 𝑴𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒚 𝑬𝒏𝒅𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓

“With His mercy and patience, we can always redeem ourselves.”

The Gospel for this week reminds us that in our world where the good and bad coexist, there will always be opportunities to change, as God will be the ultimate judge at the end of time. As taught in the Parable of the Wheat and Weeds, analogous to us human beings, it is not ideal to remove a w**d prematurely as it could also ruin the good crop. Just as a farmer allows wheat and w**ds to grow together, God has provided us a realm where we can make decisions, good or bad, that will shape our morals.

Should we become or feel sinful at certain points in our lives, thanks to His mercy and patience, God gives us the privilege of time to repent and turn toward the good.

“The seed sown on good soil is the one who hears the word and understands it.”
— Matthew 13:23

In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us that His Word is like a seed. When we welcome it with open hearts, it takes root, grows, and bears fruit in our lives. May we always choose to be good soil—listening with faith, living with love, and sharing His goodness with others.
