Ferdinand Dela Merced, also known as the Philippine Looper, took to social media to air his frustrations after feeling disrespected and unappreciated by many Filipinos. According to him, people are quick to judge and criticize, yet fail to recognize the physical and mental sacrifices he endures every single day just to continue his journey. He expressed disappointment that instead of encouragement or understanding, he often encounters mockery and a lack of empathy from those who see his posts.

In his message, Ferdinand emphasized that what he’s doing is far from easy. Walking long distances requires discipline, endurance, and personal sacrifice things that aren’t always visible on camera or social media.

He reminded people that behind every step is real exhaustion and struggle, especially on days when he pushes himself despite not being fully prepared or energized. “Wala kayong mga respeto, hindi niyo alam naglalakad ako kahit di pa ako nag kape at nag almusal.” For him, the statement wasn’t just about hunger or fatigue, but about wanting people to understand and respect the effort he puts into chasing his goal and representing his journey as a Filipino.
