Children are the hope of the future. Recognizing that reading and comprehension are the basic building blocks of education.

For the Philippines, where majority of children live in poverty, raising these children to be responsible adults is an even more urgent task that every Filipino and institution should embrace. PITOGO KIDDIE CLUB (PKC) was established on March 2010, through the initiative of Pitogo Education Committee in partnership with Makati Education Cultural Kagawad
Association (MECKA) & National Book Develop

ment Board. PKC aimed at helping Pitogo children progress in their reading and comprehension skills. We believe such activities can improve students' achievement in reading and language arts and foster appreciation for reading as lifelong hobby. In addition, literacy and reading activities are effective tools for involving family and community members in students' learning process. This project also in support to achieve the Millennium Development Goals & Philippine Education for ALL.
