How do artists celebrate their craft in their local community?🤔
Last April 24-26, UPLB VA joined in the celebration of Likha 2026 at the Los Baños Municipal Hall. Workshops, exhibits, and merchants were bountiful with shared passion over music and the arts.

🌈𝐔𝐏𝐋𝐁 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐎𝐎𝐋𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐀 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 !!!
The canvases we made finally found color! The UPLB Visual Artists joined in on the celebration of the Filipino craft in Cooltura 2026: Art. Culture. and Heritage at Paseo, Sta. Rosa last April 11-12, 2026. We exhibited our paintings, and offered henna tattoo and live-portrait services to both kids and adults alike. Participating in the event really got us in touch with our naturally creative Filipino souls, as well as with our fellow creatives in the local industry.

🌈We hope to see you all again next year!

After the eventful weekly workshops for the new applicants, the UPLB VA are preparing to open up to the incoming month with ✨ brand new beginnings✨. Blank new canvases await to be painted with the rich stories and opportunities of the months to come~

Fun and creative team building activities peppered the day as our artists bonded beyond the usual painting and drawing workshops.

Last March 1, The UPLB Visual Artists conducted its second workshop this semester focusing on the fundamentals of canvas making and oil painting. Artists got to experience what it's like to truly make everything, from the canvas to the art, all on their own!!

The UPLB Visual Artists held its first workshop for the semester last February 22, 2026. Basic techniques and fundamentals on using graphite and acrylic paint were shared among the artists--as well as live portraits, and a quick non-representational painting session!!!
