The Virgin Labfest (VLF), the premier annual festival of "untried, unstaged, and untested" one-act plays at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), is expanding its horizons! For the first time, VLF holds its regional iteration in Bikol.

This landmark event is a collaborative project of The Writerโ€™s Bloc, Inc., Sining Banwa, and the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

๐—ฆ๐˜‚๐—ฏ๐—บ๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—š๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜€
The call is open to all Filipino citizens. We are looking for eight new one-act plays that meet the following criteria:

โ€ข ๐—ข๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ถ๐˜๐˜†: Works must be unpublished, unstaged, and must not have won any literary or drama awards on or before March 15, 2026.

โ€ข ๐—™๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐˜: One-act plays with a running time of 30โ€“40 minutes (approximately 15โ€“23 pages).

โ€ข ๐—Ÿ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ด๐˜‚๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ: Scripts must be written in any Bikol language variation or any language/dialect spoken within the Bicol region.

โ€ข ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฒ: There is no specific theme, but we highly encourage new ideas, fresh perspectives, and daring narratives.
