The Indigenous Peoples' Rights Act of 1997 (IPRA): Section 21 of this act (Republic Act No. 8371) explicitly guarantees the right of Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) to be free from discrimination.
Penalties: Under Section 65, acts of discrimination, harassment, or denial of rights are punishable by law, carrying fines up to ₱500,000 and/or imprisonment of up to 12 years.
