MIDFEST SPOTLIGHT: Movement and Style Dance Company of Iriga City.
Movement Style Dance Company is a dynamic dance organization founded in 2023 in Iriga City. Formerly known as "D' MAG Dancers", the company was established to promote artistic excellence, creativity, and cultural expression through dance.
Led by Artistic Director and Choreographer Rodrigo Jr. C. Salando, the company has built a strong reputation for developing exceptional dancers and producing high-quality performances. While versatile across various dance styles, it primarily specializes in Contemporary-Jazz, combining technical excellence, innovation, and expressive storytelling.
Since its establishment, the company has represented Iriga City in numerous local, national, and international competitions, earning multiple awards and distinctions for its outstanding performances. Beyond competition, it has produced dancers who have been accepted into prestigious institutions such as the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and Guang Ming College, while others have pursued professional careers with internationally recognized organizations, including Hong Kong Disneyland and Of Curious Dance Company. Through artistic excellence and professional training, the company continues to inspire dancers and proudly represent the Philippines on the global stage.
