🎶 MGA KAPITBAHAY! 👀🏠

May alam ba kayong Neighbor Tone? 👀🎵

Parang kapitbahay lang—lumalapit, bumibisita, tapos uuwi rin! 😂

A Neighbor Tone steps away from a chord note, then comes right back to where it started. It adds a little movement and color to the melody before coming home. ✨

Celebrating 10 years since its composition, “Take Away the Rest” (with lyrics by Mervil Jilo V. Merjudio) is inspired by St. John Bosco’s famous motto: “Give me souls, take away the rest.” While our contest piece honours Don Bosco every year, this milestone carries special significance as we also celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Salesians in the Philippines.....................

A little sing-through, a lot of love. 🎶💛

Last Sunday, we gathered for an intimate performance where we sang a few pieces that are close to our hearts as we prepare for the Himig ng Kabataan: Alay Kay Don Bosco 2026 Grand Finals.

We were reminded of the love and support of the community that we have at our home parish. We are grateful that we can represent our community and service in wider audience.

To our Ka-Himig friends and family who joined us despite the short notice to share this moment with us, and listened, thank you! 🥹🫶

We were especially blessed by the presence of The Most Reverend Reynaldo G. Evangelista, DD, who watched us and gave us his blessing as we prepare for the competition. 🙏💛

We are also grateful to Rev. Fr. Reuel Castañeda, JCL, for dropping by and showing us his immense support. Your presence and encouragement mean so much to us as we continue this journey. 💛🎶

With grateful hearts, we’re ready to sing. See you this Saturday Ka-Himigs! 🎶✨

The Rock of Faith

This Sunday, the Gospel teaches us that true faith begins with recognizing Jesus not only with our minds but also with our hearts. When Peter declared that Jesus is the Messiah, he spoke through the wisdom and revelation given by God. His confession became the foundation upon which Christ entrusted the mission of His Church. This reminds us that our relationship with Jesus must go beyond knowledge and become a living commitment.

Every day, the Lord asks each of us the same question: "Who do you say that I am?" Our answer is reflected not only in our words but also in the way we love, forgive, and serve others. A strong faith becomes a firm foundation that remains steady despite life's uncertainties. Christ continues to build His Church through ordinary people who trust in Him wholeheartedly. May we boldly profess our faith and live as faithful witnesses of His truth and love.

The Courage to Believe Beyond Boundaries

This Sunday, we are reminded of the importance of having the courage to believe in Him, in the gospel we see that the Canaanite woman approached Jesus with unwavering faith despite every obstacle before her. Her persistence showed a heart that trusted completely in God's mercy. She refused to let rejection or discouragement silence her hope. Through her example, we can learn that genuine faith is humble, patient, and steadfast.

There are moments when our prayers seem unanswered, and we wonder if God is listening. This Gospel reminds us that faith continues to seek the Lord even in silence, trusting that His timing is always perfect. God's love reaches beyond every barrier of race, status, or background, welcoming all who believe. Our perseverance in prayer strengthens our relationship with Him and transforms our hearts. This is why we must always have hope and continue to trust in the boundless mercy of Christ.
