manga update!

i just wanna share this—i’ve been working on the concept of my manga since i was 13 (back in 2018). i was heavily inspired by fairy tail and digimon.
at first, it was just a hobby. i even made two one-shot sequels for what is now my manga, slayer mage. but over time, it grew into something more—it became a passion, and eventually, a dream. i managed to turn it into a full series.

right now, i already have seven chapters done. chapters 8, 9, and 10 are still in storyboard form, which i worked on during christmas break and summer of 2024. currently, i’m revising everything—from the plot to the character designs—and i’ve already completed about 50% of chapter one for my first arc.

but recently, i discovered an rpg released this year with the same title as my manga, slayer mage—even though the concept is completely different.
honestly, that put me in a dilemma and left me feeling disheartened. but instead of stopping, i decided to move forward. i changed the title from slayer mage to slayer x mage, and made a few adjustments to the concept to match the new direction. still, i’m not changing the core idea i’ve spent years building.

before: a slayer mage was a person—someone who used magick to kill powerful beings that caused suffering to humanity, especially gods.

now: slayer x(and) mage isn’t a title anymore. it’s a powerful magical state—a fusion of a slayer’s power and a mage’s magick. a force that exists for one purpose: to kill a god.

final plot:

the story follows victor pendelton, a slayer from earthland and a soldier of the one world government, and sally twilight, a mage from agartha who is undercover as a slayer. her mission is to find the person who possesses slaying magic—a rare spell that only a true slayer can cast.

when she discovers that it’s victor—her long-time best friend—their journey takes a turn. together, they travel to agartha with one goal: to defeat the evil god metabhorda, whose ambition is the destruction of both worlds.

that’s where their adventure truly begins.
along the way, they meet allies and enemies who will shape their story and test their bond. through every battle and sacrifice, their journey reveals how the slayer x mage became the force that stood between their worlds and total destruction.
