Every Christmas season, these terms are often used interchangeably—but Church history tells a clearer story. According to a Varsitarian article by Vince Alfred M. Pillagara, Misa de Aguinaldo is the proper liturgical name for the nine dawn Masses from December 16–24, offered as a spiritual “gift” in preparation for Christ’s birth. Simbang Gabi refers to the Filipino devotional practice surrounding these Masses, while Misa de Gallo is a distinct Spanish tradition originally celebrated at midnight on Christmas Eve.

Different names, different histories—yet one deeply Filipino expression of faith and devotion.

𝑯𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒂, 𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇𝒇 2025 🎶✨

Last December 19, Harmonia had the privilege of offering our voices at the Christmas Party Mass held at the IDC BED Gym—our final performance for the year. Each harmony was sung in gratitude, reflection, and quiet service, marking not just an ending, but a meaningful pause.

To our school community, teachers, and fellow students—thank you for walking with us throughout the year. Your support shaped every rehearsal, every performance, and every moment of growth we shared as a choir. As 2025 draws to a close, we carry forward the lessons, memories, and unity that music has given us.

We rest our voices for now, but the harmony remains. Until we sing again.

HANDA NA BA ANG BOSES NIYO SA CAROLLING?🎄🎤

Bago tayo mangaroling at kumatok sa bahay ng kapitbahay na may kasamang “Good evening poooo~”, siguraduhin muna nating handa ang boses—hindi ‘yung parang bagong gising na tinamaan ng malamig na hangin. 😂❄️

Gamitin ang Vocal Practice Checklist na ‘to:

✅ Diaphragmatic Breathing
Huminga ng malalim… hindi yung parang napaso sa sabaw ng batchoy.

😌 Relax Dapat!
Tanggalin ang tensyon sa leeg at panga—hindi ka pabirit battle dito, kuya.

🫦 Soft Palate Check
I-hikab mo nang konti pero wag naman 𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡 𝙮𝙖𝙬𝙣 na mapagkamalan kang inaantok.

🎶 Resonance
Dapat may “bzzzz” sa mukha mo. Kung wala, baka gutom lang.

👅 Tongue
Relax ang dila, hindi nakadikit sa langit-langit ng bibig na para bang takot kumanta.

Kapag pasado ka na dito, ayun na, handa ka nang bumirit ng matataas na nota ng “Ang Pasko ay Sumapit” at kumalansing ng barya sa iyong lata! 🎶💰

Sige na, warm-up na muna bago tayo rumampa sa barangay. Tara, mga carollers! 🎄😆

With hearts full of purpose and pride, we opened the ILOPRISAA 2025 Closing, Awarding, and Turnover Ceremony through heartfelt performances of the Prayer, Lupang Hinirang, and the PRISAA Hymn. Every note we offered was a reflection of our commitment to sing from the heart, with the heart, to the heart. 🎤✨

In a special moment of the program, our very own Chryzler Pandac graced the stage with a soul-stirring rendition of “Dakilang Lahi” by Ciara Sotto—his voice embodying the strength, resilience, and spirit of the Filipino. 🌟🎼

𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝘂𝗻𝗲! 🎤

𝘏𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬! 💫 Iloilo Doctors' College - Basic Education Department’s (IDC-BED) Choir Club, Harmonia, kicked off the new school year with its first official meeting on June 24, welcoming both returning and new members for a fresh start full of rhythm, unity, and passion. 🙌🏻🎹

The session began with the election of officers—leaders chosen to guide Harmonia with vision and voice—followed by the discussion of club rules and regulations to uphold. 🗳️📜

To end on a melodic note, members warmed up by sections—Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass—focusing on breathing, pitch, and blend, reminding all that great things start with a single note. 🎵
