My Stand: Navigating the Current Community Chaos
To anyone who has followed me from day one, you already know: I am a full-fledged **Zayne girlie**. That said, I’ve always openly expressed my love for all the boys. Why else would I be dedicating so much of my time and hard-earned money to this game?
But with the long-awaited introduction of the sixth love interest, Valko, everything seems to have descended into chaos.
Giving New Characters a Fair Chance
I have to admit, I wasn't a huge fan of Sylus when he was first introduced. But lo and behold, he ended up becoming my second-favorite guy. I felt a similar hesitation when Valko was first revealed, but guess what? I am entirely willing to give him a chance, just like I did with Sylus. Who knows? I might end up loving him even more.
But it begs the question: **Is all the drama happening right now really worth it?** Honestly, I don’t know.
Understanding the Cultural Divide
Let me be completely clear:
I am NOT siding with anyone, nor am I saying CN (Chinese) players should have a greater say in the game's direction. What I *am* saying is that there is a massive cultural and moral difference between regions. To put it simply: there is no "one size fits all" here. *Love and Deepspace* originated in China, and according to financial reports, the CN player base single-handedly generates roughly 60% of Infold’s total revenue. Believe me, that 60% alone is enough to keep the game afloat.
I am not trying to diminish or gaslight Global players. I am a Global user myself, and I spend a quarter of my monthly income on this game. I don’t just play *Love and Deepspace*—I live and breathe it.
Looking at the Bigger Picture
Let’s look at the root of the issue. Valko’s character design or narrative seriously clashed with the values and comfort zones of many CN players. (There are plenty of detailed posts online explaining the CN perspective if you want to look it up.) *Love and Deepspace* is supposed to be an escape that pampers us, but Valko's addition disrupted the game's momentum and tone for a large part of the community.
While I understand the sentiments and cultural values of the CN player base, I also feel incredibly bad for the creative team. They must have spent countless hours bringing Valko to life, only to be met with severe backlash. It's a tough situation: I want Valko in the game, but I also comprehend why others dislike him and his storyline.
A Call for Mutual Respect
Ultimately, my goal with this post isn't to point fingers or decide who is right or wrong. **What I want is for everyone to respect each other, rather than placing blame and dragging one another down.
Anger and hatred are exhausting. We are all here to enjoy the game, not to be at each other's throats.
No matter what happens next—whether Infold stands their ground or changes their minds about Valko or future love interests—I am going to keep enjoying the game. I'll be here supporting it for as long as I can.
