The Travel Archive of Josh Teodoro I created this page to keep the memories I never want to forget. This is my little space for ad

I may overthink a lot, but traveling somehow makes everything feel lighter — new places, new people, and moments that remind me life is bigger than my worries.

𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝!

There’s something different about Siquijor.
Not just the beaches, not just the views, but the feeling it gives you when life has been too loud for too long.

During my stay on the island, I found myself at Bucafe and honestly, it became more than just a café to me. It was one of those places that instantly slows your mind down the moment you walk in. The kind of place where time doesn’t feel rushed. Where you stop checking your phone every second and just sit with your thoughts for a while.

Maybe it was the peaceful atmosphere, the soft ocean air, the sound of conversations mixed with waves, or maybe I was simply tired from everything life has been throwing at me lately. But somehow, sitting there with a cup of coffee in front of me made everything feel lighter.

I realized that not every healing moment has to be dramatic. Sometimes healing looks like quiet mornings, good coffee, genuine smiles, and finally breathing without feeling pressured by the world. And that’s exactly what this place felt like.

What I loved most about Bucafe is how comforting it felt without trying too hard. No unnecessary noise. No pressure to pretend. Just peace. The kind of peace that makes you reflect on yourself, your life, and the things you’ve been silently carrying.

I came to Siquijor expecting beautiful places for content, but I didn’t expect to feel emotionally connected to a simple café. Yet somehow, this place became one of my favorite memories on the island.
And maybe that’s the magic of traveling.
Sometimes you don’t find answers.
You just find moments that make life feel softer again.

If you ever visit Siquijor, don’t just chase the tourist spots. Sit down somewhere peaceful. Slow down. Feel the island. Because places like Bucafe remind you that resting your mind is important too
