They said nothing can gain playing too much videogames and wasting time and money in internet cafe, but they didn’t know that in the days that no one understand you, there were gaming buddies willing to play with you, willing to wait for your turn, share their last minutes, laugh at your mistakes, celebrate small wins, stay even when the shop is about to close, even when the chairs were broken, the PCs were lagging, and the only thing keeping you there was the feeling that for once, you belong somewhere, even if it was just in front of a flickering monitor, with cheap headsets, loud keyboards, and friends you didn’t even realize would become part of your life.
