"Manhid"

‎Inakala ko na ako'y manhid na
‎pero pinatunayan mong
‎puso ko ay buhay pa.

‎Ang iyong mga mata
‎ay tila Isang sandata
‎na kapag itinutok saakin,
‎biglang nakakaramdam ng takot,
‎at ang pagiging matikas ay bumabaluktot

‎Inakala ko na ang puso ko
‎ay isang nawasak na bato,
‎ngunit sa ngiti mo muli itong tumitibok,
‎at unti-unting nabubuo

‎Kapag naririnig
‎ang pangalan mo,
‎nanginginig at napapatago
‎sa likod ng kaibigan ko

‎Ang boses moy malambing,
‎marahil kahit pag ika'y nag Videoke
‎di ako magrereklamo,
‎kahit na umabot ka ng alas dose

‎Sa tuwing dumadaan ka
‎ang pader na aking binuo
‎ay naguguho

‎at pag tinatangay ng hangin
‎ang iyong buhok,
‎para bang watawat ito,
‎bigla akong napapatingin
‎at napapahawak sa dibdib ko.

‎So while y'all are counting your capital within the capital,
‎y'all are mockin' us for being poor, people with mothers who're wh**es,
‎payin' with their bodies for salt,
‎puttin' their child's education to a halt.

‎Then y'all gon tell us that education is the key to success? When we ain't even got access to it?? Cuz y'all take scholarship opportunities despite already livin' in excess.

‎And while we all are prayin' for change, y'all are preyin' on us, and weaklings like us get to kiss your ass for change YAY!

‎And I guess that's better than going to jail right? I mean who gon' fight for our rights? Like hell we got rights, we always wrong after all.

‎So y'all want us to say all hail the rich?
‎While y'all are taking coke like Adderall, our arms are stiffenin' from hangin' tight on a rope, that maybe there's hope after all—nope.

‎Y'all take our sweat for granted, and calluses that made your life sweet, and y'all staying within buildings with A.Cs while we clean the windows under the heat.

‎Suddenly we can't protest cuz we just "throwin’ a fit"? y'all want peace and order, when y’all nothin’ but hoarders, so who're ya to give us orders?

‎Can't even keep the system neat, why do ya think y'all get to sit on those seats? cuz we chose ya to sit, and that's our fault, y'all ain't fit to lead, so listen and heed, get down from that seat, cuz we fed up and might actually take your head.

‎And for y'all supporting these murderers out there—how's life been? Better than here? Like hell it is, how many bodies does it take to be seen, for you to get your eyes to realize their lies? How many elderly people must be jailed for stealin' bread, how many words must be said for us to plant a better seed?

‎Y'all really believe they are doing good deeds for killing "addicts" which turned out to be kids? Believin' their lies and antics, while their real tactics are to catch anyone, shoot bullets at everyone.

‎Casualties? There ain't such a thing as justified violence when it comes to a child full of innocence.

‎So—keep cleavin' on that belief,
‎cuz I ain't gon stop cleavin' your belief.
