🐈🐾𝐓𝐀𝐏-𝐓𝐀𝐏 𝐃𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐑 𝐑𝐄𝐅𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒💬
Behind every click, cat, gift, and line of code are three days of sleepless nights, unexpected challenges, and memories we’ll carry with us.

For 3 days, our team of 6 embarked on a Side Quest and joined the 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗨𝗣 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗝𝗮𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, where we created 𝕋𝕒𝕡𝕥𝕒𝕡, a sentimental clicker game inspired by the theme “𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐔𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐆” (Gift). 🐱🎁

From creating the music and assets to building the gameplay, every part of the game was made within the jam. Even a 17-hour power outage couldn’t stop us from coming back together and finishing what we started.

𝕋𝕒𝕡𝕥𝕒𝕡 became more than just a game—it became a reminder that gifts come in many forms, and that the thought, love, and memories behind them are what truly make them special.

𝑾𝒂𝒛𝒛𝒖𝒑, 𝑾𝒆𝒊𝒓𝑫𝒂𝒘𝒈𝒔 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚! 🔥

𝑻𝑨𝑷𝑻𝑨𝑷 𝑰𝑺 𝑺𝑻𝑰𝑳𝑳 𝑻𝑨𝑷𝑷𝑰𝑵𝑮... 👀💛

We've been working on some new things behind the scenes, and it honestly feels nostalgic to play Taptap again. With a new game mode in the works, faster gameplay, increasing difficulty, and all the chaos happening on screen, it somehow gives us the same feeling we had when playing Fruit Ninja back in the day. 🍉⚔️

We're taking on the challenge of turning Taptap into a fun little mobile experience! 📱 And yes, NO ADS, of course. 😅

You know what's funny? Playtesting this with a mouse is painfully hard!😂I mean, it was designed for mobile, where you can just spam-tap with your fingers. 👆📱

Here's a small glimpse of what we've been working on! There are still a few things being polished behind the scenes, but we're excited to see where this little project takes us.

The WeirDawg party has grown once again!

After searching for someone to finally take on the Sound Design role, we're very happy to welcome our 7th member to the pack! 💛

Ace is a band member and guitarist, with experience performing in several Battle of the Bands competitions. 🎸 Beyond performing, he also has experience using FL Studio for music production, as well as audio cleaning and processing, making him a great addition to our sound and audio team.

We're excited to see him bring his passion for music, technical skills, and creativity into our future games! 🎶

The music of Taptap was made to be an important part of the game's experience. From the fast-paced gameplay to the final moments of Katkat's story, we wanted the music to help tell the story of Taptap and the memories she had with him.

Taptap is a Clicker Game that we made in only 𝟯 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 for the theme "𝑷𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒖𝒃𝒐𝒏𝒈." The game is about Katkat, a girl who goes shopping to buy gifts for her cat, Taptap. Throughout the game, you will need to tap the correct items, avoid the bad ones, and deal with different item behaviors as the game becomes harder.
But as you reach the end of the game, you will find out that the gifts were not meant for Taptap in the way you first thought.

Taptap is a small game about 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆, 𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒈𝒐 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎. ❤️

We are especially happy to receive the 𝑩𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅 because music became a very important part of Taptap's experience. Especially that, our Music Composer, Allan, took the effort to craft an emotional piece. We wanted the music to tell the story together with the gameplay, and we're very glad that the judges appreciated it.

And of course, receiving the 𝕵𝖚𝖉𝖌𝖊'𝖘 𝕮𝖍𝖔𝖎𝖈𝖊 𝕬𝖜𝖆𝖗𝖉 is something we are extremely grateful for. Out of all the 23 games made for the jam, having Taptap chosen by the judges means so much to us.
We would like to thank DevelUP, the organizers, judges, fellow developers, our playtesters, friends, and everyone who supported and played Taptap during the Game Jam.

And to everyone who continues to support 𝗪𝗲𝗶𝗿𝗗𝗮𝘄𝗴 Studios and our games, 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨! 🐱❤️

Taptap was made in only 3 days, but the memories we made while creating it will definitely last much longer. Who knows, something might be coming for Taptap’s future very soon…
