Once again, Palikata and UM BFAD (students, faculty, and alumni) has collaborated another exhibition!

“Memento,” an exhibition showcasing a diverse array of artistic interpretations that explore the fleeting nature of time and experience. Set against the vibrant wall of The Commons in Matina Town Square, McArthur Highway, Davao City, this exhibition invites visitors to reflect on their personal narratives while engaging with works that celebrate the beauty of remembrance.

You are welcome to join us in this journey of nostalgia, inspiration, and the moments to look back where every piece tells a story waiting to be uncovered.

This exhibition will be open on October 27, 2024, 5:00pm at The Commons, Matina Town Square, Davao City.

Celebrating the EYE opening of PALIKATA's KITA-KITA III Art Exhibition on June 5, 2024. A day our metaphorical third eyes inspires the audiences with artistic brilliance of art practitioners from the University of Mindanao Bachelor of Fine Arts and Design students and alumni. Along with them are the young emerging and young-seasoned artist around Davao City.

PALIKATA's Art Exhibition, themed "Third Eye - Active Seeing", drew a diverse crowd of art enthusiasts and audiences all eager to explore the works on display. The concept of this metaphorical third-eye is far from the common filipino superstition. It was driven from a term "Active Seeing" which means seeing beyond the seen. The theme encouraged the audience to engage deeply with what they see, looking beyond the surface to uncover hidden meanings and perspectives. The evening was a success, filled with engagement, discussions, and insightful interpretations

PALIKATA's dedication to bridge art practitioners and enthusiasts for active seeing was tangible, making this third series of KITA-KITA memorable for all who participated and attended.

We are truly grateful for LA HERENCIA DAVAO and Sir Wilfred Dexter Tanedo for always supporting the group and for the haven you've allowed us to utilize. And for the University of Mindanao Bachelor of Fine Arts Students for the effort and hands for setting up the exhibition

KITA-KITA III Exhibition will run from June 5-19, 2024 at La Herencia Davao, Torres St, Davao City. You may visit the cite from 1pm-7pm.

PALIKATA invites local artists from Davao City to participate in our upcoming exhibition Kita Kita 3 themed “THIRD EYE.”

Embracing the concept of Active Seeing, this exhibition transcends the conventional interpretation of the Third Eye beyond mere superstition (or could still be). We challenge artists to delve into the depths of perception, intuition, and consciousness through their creative interpretations of what is beyond we are seeing.

Guided by the theme of Active Seeing, we encourage artists to explore the realms of insight, mindfulness, and inner vision. Whether through traditional mediums, sculptures, or mixed media, we welcome diverse interpretations and innovative approaches that shed light on the power of perception.

KITA-KITA 3 is right in the corner. Join us as we embark on a journey of exploration, introspection, and revelation through the lens of the “Third Eye.” Let your creativity shine and be part of a transformative artistic experience with PALIKATA.
