SO YOU DON'T KNOW THAT THE SON OF GOD JESUS CHRIST IS THE TRUE GOD AND ETERNAL LIFE?

THE FOLLOWING IS THE PROOF:

1John 5:20
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

The verse above says: AND WE KNOW THAT THE SON OF GOD HAS COME AND HAS GIVEN US AN UNDERSTANDING, THAT WE MAY KNOW HIM WHO IS TRUE" and the verse continued by telling us who is true by saying: ""WE ARE IN HIM WHO IS TRUE, IN HIS SON JESUS CHRIST" and this prove the Son Jesus Christ is true.
Note also the last phrase of the verse continued and said "THIS IS THE TRUE GOD AND ETERNAL LIFE" and this prove the Son Jesus Christ is the true God and eternal life because it's continuation of who is true.


Note also that Jesus Christ said he is true in REVELATION 3:7 as follows:

"And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write:
"These things says He who is holy, He who is true, "He who has the key of David. He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens."

Note also that the Son is God as proved in HEBREWS 1:8 as follows:

"But to the Son He says:
"Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom."

Note also that the Son is eternal life as proved in 1JOHN 1:1-2 as follows:

"That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life -- 2 the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us --

KNOW THEREFORE THIS TRUTH THAT THE SON OF GOD JESUS CHRIST IS THE TRUE GOD AND ETERNAL LIFE

The Oneness of God
Ang Biblia o ang Salita ng Dios ay siyang nararapat na pagbatayan n gating paniniwala at pagkakilala sa Dios (Isa. 34:16; Juan 5:39).
Mayroong Dios na makapangyarihan sa lahat, na Siyang tanging may likha ng langit at ng lupa at lahat ng nangaroon, pati na ang sangkatauhan (Gen. 1:1,27; Neh. 9:6; Isa. 37:16; 44:24; 45:12,18).
Iisa lamang ang tunay na Diyos na dapat nating kikilalanin at paglilingkuran (Deut. 4:39, 6:4-9, 32:12; Awit 36:10; Isa. 43:10-11; Marcos 12:29-30; Juan 17:3; Roma 3:30; Efeso 4:6; 1Tim. 2:5; Gal. 3:20; Sant. 2:19). Ang iisang tunay na Diyos na ito ay hindi nagkakabaha-bahagi sa mga persona.
Ang Diyos ay Espiritu, hindi persona (Jun 4:24; 1Tim. 1:17; Mateo 16:17; Lucas 24:39).

Ang Titulong Anak ay tumutukoy sa Diyos na nagkatawang tao (nahayag sa laman), hindi sa Diyos Anak o ikalawang persona ng pinagkakamaliang diumano’y Trinidad ng pagka-Dios, sapagkat ang taong si Cristo Jesus ay ipinagbuntis ng literal sa pamamagitan ng Espiritu Santo (Mateo 1:18-20, Lucas 1:35). Si Jesus ay tinatawag na anak ng Dios (Lucas 1:35) at Anak ng tao (Lucas 19:10). Subalit kahit kalian ay hindi Siya tinawag na “Dios-Anak”.
Ang Panginoong Jesus ay hindi tumutukoy sa pinagkakamaliang ikalawang persona ng diumano’y Trinidad ng pagka-Diyos, kundi Siya mismo ang nag-iisang tunay na Diyos na nahayag sa laman (Fil. 2:5-8; 2 Juan 7-10; Juan 1:1, 14 BSP Biblia) Siya ang Una at ang Huli, hindi ang ikalawa (Apoc. 1:7-8; 21:5-6; 22:13-14).
Ang Espiritu Santo ay hindi rin tumutukoy sa pinagkakamaliang ikatlong persona ng diumano’y Trinidad ng pagka-Diyos, kundi sa halip ay sa Diyos mismo na Espiritu (Juan 4:24), sa kanyang makapangyarihang pagkilos sa buhay ng mga tao sa pagbabago/regeneration (Juan 7:37-39; Roma 8:14-16; Tito 3:5-7).
Ang Espiritu Santo o Banal na Espiritu ay ang nag-iisang Diyos mismo (Lev. 11:44; 1 Peter 1:16; Juan 4:24; Mga Gawa 5:3-4), samakatuwid baga’y ang Panginoong Jesu-Cristo (Efeso 4:4; 1 Cor. 12:13; 2 Cor. 3:17; Juan 14:17-18, 26; Mga Gawa 16:7; Roma 8:9; Mateo 18:20).
Ang Ama, Anak at Espiritu ay hindi ang pinagkakamaliang tatlong persona ng diumano’y Trinidad ng pagka-Diyos, kundi sa halip ang mga ito ay mga titulo lamang na ginamit ng nag-iisang tunay na Diyos kaugnay sa Kaniyang gampaning ginampanan bilang pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga tao. Is Jesus God? Did Jesus ever claim to be God?

JESUS IS GOD

“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the
Godhead bodily” (Colossians 2:9).

The fact that Jesus is God is as firmly established in Scripture as the fact that God is one. The Bible teaches that Jesus is fully God and fully human. We will discuss scriptural proofs that Jesus is God, numbering them for the reader’s convenience.

The Old Testament testifies That Jesus Is God

1. Isaiah 9:6 is one of the most powerful proofs that Jesus is God: “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

• The terms child and son refer to the Incarnation, or the manifestation of “The mighty God” and “The everlasting Father.”

2. Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah would be called Immanuel, that is, God with us (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:22-23).

3. Isaiah described the Messiah as both a branch out of Jesse (the father of David) and as the root of Jesse (Isaiah 11:1, 10; see also Revelation 22:16).

•According to the flesh He was a descendant (branch) of Jesse and David, but according to His Spirit He was their Creator and source of life (root). Jesus used this concept to confound the Pharisees when He quoted Psalm 110:1 and asked, in essence, “How could David call the Messiah Lord when the Messiah was to be the son (descendant) of David?” (Matthew 22:41-46).

4. Isaiah 35:4-6 shows that Jesus is God: “Behold, your God . . . he will come and save you.”

•This passage goes on to say that when God comes the eyes of the blind would be opened, the ears of the deaf would be unstopped, the lame would leap, and the tongue of the dumb would speak. Jesus applied this passage of Scripture to Himself (Luke 7:22), and of course, His ministry did produce all of these things.

5. Isaiah 40:3 declares that one would cry in the wilderness, “Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”

•John the Baptist fulfilled this prophecy when he prepared the way for Jesus (Matthew 3:3); so Jesus is the LORD (Jehovah) and our God.

6. Micah 5:2 proves that the Messiah is God. “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah . . . out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel, whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.”

√ Thus, the Old Testament clearly states that the Messiah and Savior to come would be God Himself.

The New Testament Proclaims
That Jesus Is God

1. Thomas confessed Jesus as both Lord and God (John 20:28).

2. According to Acts 20:28, the church was purchased with God’s own blood, namely, the blood of Jesus.

3. Paul described Jesus as “the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13; NIV has “our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ”).

4. Peter described Him as “God and our Saviour Jesus Christ” (II Peter 1:1; NIV and TAB both have“our God and Savior Jesus Christ”).

5. Our bodies are the temples of God (I Corinthians 3:16-17), yet we know Christ dwells in our hearts (Ephesians 3:17).

6. The Book of Colossians strongly emphasizes the deity of Christ. “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily” (Colossians 2:9; see also 1:19).

√ We conclude that the New Testament testifies to the full deity of Jesus Christ.

Jesus claimed to be God.

Take for example the words of Jesus in John 10:30, “I and the Father are one.” We need only to look at the Jews’ reaction to His statement to know He was claiming to be God. They tried to stone Him for this very reason: “You, a mere man, claim to be God” (John 10:33, emphasis added). The Jews understood exactly what Jesus was claiming—deity.

John 8:58 is another example. Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth … before Abraham was born, I am!” This is a reference back to Exodus 3:14 when God revealed Himself as the “I AM.” The Jews who heard this statement responded by taking up stones to kill Him for blasphemy, as the Mosaic Law commanded (Leviticus 24:16).

Not only did He claim to be God, but He also claimed to have the power of God. He said He has the authority to judge the nations (Matthew 25:31-46). He claims the authority to raise people from the dead (John 5:25-29) and to forgive sins (Mark 2:5-7)—things only God can do (1 Samuel 2:6; Isaiah 43:25).

Further, Jesus says He has the power to answer prayers (John 14:13-14), and that He will be with His followers always (Matthew 28:20). The New Testament equates Jesus to the creator of the universe (John 1:3), and in John 16:15, He says, “All that belongs to the Father is mine.”

His followers declared Him to be God.

John reiterates the concept of Jesus’ deity: “The Word [Jesus] was God” and “the Word became flesh” (John 1:1, 14). These verses clearly indicate that Jesus is God in the flesh.

Acts 20:28 tells us, “Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood.” Who bought the church with His own blood? Jesus Christ
