Be part of Vertical – Difficult Access Solutions! We are looking for qualified and motivated individuals to join our growing team.

*Pollution Control Officer

Minimum Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related field.
•Preferably a DENR-accredited/recognized Pollution Control Officer, as applicable.
•Knowledge of Philippine environmental laws, DENR regulations, and applicable environmental compliance requirements.
•With experience in environmental compliance, monitoring, documentation, and reporting is preferred.
•Good written and verbal communication skills.
•Proficient in preparing reports and maintaining environmental records.
Major Duties:
•Monitor the company’s compliance with applicable environmental laws, DENR requirements, permits, and regulations.
•Coordinate and prepare required environmental reports and submissions to DENR and other applicable government agencies.
•Maintain and update environmental compliance records, permits, monitoring reports, and supporting documents.
•Monitor proper waste segregation, storage, handling, transportation, and disposal.
•Coordinate with accredited waste haulers, treatment facilities, laboratories, and other environmental service providers when necessary.
•Conduct regular environmental inspections and identify potential environmental risks and non-compliances.
•Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions related to environmental concerns.
•Coordinate environmental requirements with the company’s Integrated Management System (ISO 14001) and other applicable company procedures.
•Provide management with updates and recommendations regarding environmental compliance.
•Participate in environmental audits, inspections, and regulatory assessments.
•Perform other environmental compliance-related duties as may be assigned by management.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Behavior:
•Knowledge of Philippine environmental laws, DENR rules and regulations, and environmental compliance requirements.
•Knowledge of waste management, pollution prevention, environmental monitoring, and environmental risk assessment.
•Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
•Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate environmental records.
•Good communication and coordination skills.
•Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with different departments.
•Responsible, organized, proactive, and compliance-oriented.
•High level of integrity and confidentiality.
•Willingness to conduct site inspections and fieldwork when required.
