𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | The SMCC Auditorium vibrated with rhythm and color as the five houses took the stage for the Cultural Dance Competition. Decked in heritage-inspired attire, dancers from each team captivated the crowd with seamless choreography that honored native folklore and Marian devotion. Every graceful movement and powerful beat told a story of unity, leaving the audience spellbound and reminding everyone that the Ignacian Marian spirit is deeply rooted in our rich cultural roots.

𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | Unity in Heritage: St. Mary’s College of Catbalogan Opens Intramurals 2026

Energy, cultural pride, and athletic passion collided as St. Mary’s College of Catbalogan, Inc. officially kicked off its Intramurals 2026 today, September 2, at SMCC Quadrangle. The four-day event, running through September 5, brings together students, faculty, and athletes to celebrate athletic prowess, artistic expression, and faith.

Carrying the theme "Sailing through Heritage: Uniting the Ignacian Marian Spirit through Cultural Pride, Arts, and Faith," this year's sports meet highlights holistic student development by blending competitive sports with rich Philippine mythology and cultural heritage.

The opening day featured the unveiling of the five competing houses, each represented by a distinct banner reflecting their core values.

The ceremony set the stage for upcoming events, which include varsity sports, socio-cultural contests, and many more.

The festivities will continue throughout the week, concluding on September 5 with the awarding of the overall champions.

📍 Activities: Para-liturgy, Flag-Raising Ceremony, and Departmental/Orientation Meetings

Bring your rosary beads for the para-liturgy.

Dress code applies per level:
• Returning students: School uniform
