Today, June 12, 2026, our dance group proudly joins the nation in commemorating Philippine Independence Day. Through every step, rhythm, and movement, we honor the courage, sacrifices, and patriotism of the Filipino heroes who fought for our freedom.

Philippine Independence Day is celebrated every June 12 to commemorate the declaration of Philippine independence from Spanish colonial rule on June 12, 1898, in Kawit, Cavite. Led by General Emilio Aguinaldo, the Philippine flag was first unfurled, and the national anthem was played, marking a historic moment in the nation’s journey toward freedom and self-determination.

As we perform today, we celebrate not only our rich culture and traditions but also the unity, resilience, and pride that make us Filipino. May our presentation serve as a reminder that the spirit of freedom continues to live in every generation.

Happy 128th Philippine Independence Day! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
