I think this quote speaks about the kind of richness that cannot be measured by money, titles, or possessions.
Sometimes when life strips away comfort, pride, or control, people begin to see what truly matters faith, peace, love, purpose, and human connection.

Many people who have everything materially still feel empty, anxious, or restless.
Meanwhile, some who have very little are able to love deeply, appreciate small blessings, and depend fully on God. In that sense, emptiness can create space for gratitude, humility, and deeper trust.

It doesn’t mean poverty or suffering is romantic. Rather, it reminds us that possessions are not the true foundation of a meaningful life. Sometimes the less we cling to worldly things, the more we notice the things that truly sustain the soul.
