Found this old photo of a caricature commission that got me started to go back to painting!

Thank you to one of the best Team Leaders I've known! (You know who you are 🩷)

I stopped doing art for a while. I can't remember if she asked me or if I offered but I did this for her years ago.

This was painted using colored indian inks in watercolor style! My previous medium was acrylics so I used the inks like I used acrylics (which was watercolor style) and I enjoyed it!

Cheap art materials are OKAY! ✨

In the end you just have to figure out how to make them work.

Years ago, I used chinese watercolors that are in tubes. They are a bit more like gouache. In this case I can't seem to make the shadows of the skin dark enough so I used walnut ink that was gifted by my brain twin Portia(which I can't tag 😅).

This was my first time to paint dark skintone in watercolor too!
