Sri Lanka Needs Rs. 76 Billion to Finish These Healthcare Projects 😳

Sri Lanka launched major healthcare projects — then many were stalled for years.

In June 2026, the government announced plans to revive25 stalled health infrastructure projects, with around Rs. 76 billion needed to complete them.

The projects include child and maternal healthcare, cancer treatment, cardiac care, thalassaemia and emergency services.

One example is the 12-storey Little Hearts Centre at Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital, where construction began in 2017 and reached its final stage in 2026.

Massive Flash Flood Hits Nepal–Tibet Border 🇳🇵

A massive flash flood swept through the Nepal–Tibet border region, destroying roads, homes and bridges in its path.

At the time of posting, reports say at least 98 people have died and hundreds remain missing.

Search and rescue operations are continuing as authorities assess the full scale of the destruction.

🇳🇵 NEPAL JUST BROUGHT 4G TO 4,230 METRES 😳📡

Nepal Telecom has activated 4G service in the remote Badimalika region of Bajura.

But getting a tower this high into the Himalayas wasn’t easy.

The terrain was so difficult that equipment had to be transported by Nepali Army helicopter— with thousands of kilograms of material brought into the area before technicians could complete the installation.

Now pilgrims, tourists and locals can finally access mobile and internet service from one of Nepal’s most remote high-altitude destinations.
