A QUICK NOTE ABOUT AI AND THIS PAGE

Yes, I use AI.

Some people are okay with that. Some aren't. And recently, this page has received some criticism for using AI-generated images.

So rather than hide it—or debate it under every post—I think it's better to simply show you how I actually use AI in my Daggerheart campaign.

AI is one tool in a much bigger toolbox.

I maintain a Single Source of Truth (SSOT) for the campaign—characters, events, timelines, locations, and established canon. I use AI to help me retrieve information and check consistency as the campaign grows.

I'm also building my own personal GM Assistant app. It helps me organize campaigns into modules, acts, and scenes, track characters and campaign information, and manage the increasingly complicated world my players are creating with me. AI helps me design and code it.

And yes, I use AI to generate some of the character and story images you see on this page.

I use character references, established canon, and a consistent visual direction, then review and iterate on the results. These images are AI-generated or AI-assisted. I don't claim that I personally illustrated them.

But AI isn't running my campaign.

Our story still happens at the table.

My players decide what their characters do. Dice decide whether things go according to plan—or spectacularly wrong. I design the campaign, encounters, systems, and mechanics. I make battle maps and physical game materials. I still update laminated character sheets with pieces of tape because, sometimes, that's genuinely the best technology for the job.

AI, software, battle maps, markers, laminated paper, tape.

They're all tools.

My policy for this page is simple:

I'll continue using AI when it helps me organize, build, experiment, and visualize our campaign. When its use is relevant, I'll be transparent about it.

I also understand that some people don't want to support AI-generated content. That's okay. Respectful criticism and disagreement are welcome here.

What's not welcome is harassment, personal attacks, spam, or repeatedly posting the same hostile comments across multiple posts. Those will be moderated so we can keep this community focused on the game and the stories we're here to share.

At the end of the day, this page is about our Daggerheart campaign—the characters, the choices, the dice, the experiments, and the stories that emerge when we sit around a table and play.

AI is part of my process.

It's not the whole process.

And I'll continue to be transparent about where and how I use it.

Some latest revelations in the campaign. Gods have different teleportation rules

Odin - can only teleport where there is a present god-tier artifact
Freija - can teleport to an owner of a piece she holds (example, hair strand)
Thor - can only teleport to a place where the weather has thunderstorm
Heimdall - teleport anywhere (this is his specialty)
Loki - can teleport to a place where a god recently been to.

Session -2 Part 1

Meta: The players requested to stay longer to the campaign “world” before the final battle so we did a prequel.

Since it’s a “guarantee” that no one in their party will get di3, it will be a challenge to keep the story engaging and with right amount of risk / long-lasting impact 😂
