September 11 is a creative day to remember. It was the day the program for BAGUIO’S Finest Young Artists was launched entitled PATAWID.

PATAWID is an indigenous term which means leaving a legacy. We conceptualized this creative activity together with our group- the Baguio Educators Arts Guild( BEAG). BEAG is a group of Baguio artists deeply involved in teaching art, culture, and music to all who wish to learn their craft specially the creative youngsters of Baguio.

On the other hand, we also thought of this activity to bolster our tourism and at the same time showcase the beauty and splendor of the newly renovated Botanical Garden.

The PATAWID program is a creative innovation to showcase the best of BAGUIO’S youth. It would also give park goers and tourists a chance to see new events happening in our parks showcasing BAGUIO’S creative community.

A dialogue with our City Officials through:

This activity was conceptualized to bring all creative people together in one venue with the primary objective of providing a forum where suggestions and inputs can be collectively discussed on how Baguio City can be further enhanced as a CREATIVE CITY.
