Life is a journey where we canβt escape the burden of carrying baggage. βKargaβ means cargo or load. Our cargo varies depending on our experiences, the path we are taking, and the destiny we are writing. It is the weight we bear in this life, the emotions we canβt release, the elements of the past, and the burden of the future. Living is the first view of life, the other being survival. To survive this life, we must carry weapons. When we think of the word βKargadaβ we think of weapons. These weapons are the experiences and knowledge we need to equip ourselves with in order to get through life. Life is both dark and colorful, and we need to learn how to fight to not succumb to darkness. However, the time will come when we run out of ammo, and that is the time we open our karga and see what we can use to fight and push through.
Karga-Kargada is a collection of short plays written, directed, and produced by the 3rd year BFA students of class 2023-2024.
