Day 93 — October 7, 2025

OVERCOMING UNBELIEF
📖 “The father instantly cried out, ‘I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!’”
— Mark 9:24

Faith is a gift from God.
“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.”
(Ephesians 2:8)

No matter how much faith we think we have, we can never reach the point of being self-sufficient. It is not something we can obtain without help.

Just like the father who believed that Jesus could cast out the demon tormenting his son yet still cried, “Have mercy on us and help us, if you can” (v.22). So Jesus replied, “What do you mean, ‘If I can’? Anything is possible if a person believes” (v.23).

📖 “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. And it is impossible to please God without faith.”
(Hebrews 11:1,6)

Faith is not something we store away like money in a bank that increases over time. It must grow and be renewed daily through our prayer.

Believing is also a gift from God. It’s not merely an attitude but an action we must exercise. Believing in something we cannot see is called faith and faith without action is dead.

So we need to:
1️⃣ Exercise our faith through prayer.
Even when we don’t feel like praying, we must still pray until it becomes a habit.

2️⃣ Pray to increase our faith.
Ask God to help us overcome unbelief.

3️⃣ Rebuke unbelief.
When doubt comes, command it to leave in Jesus’ name and ask the Lord to strengthen your faith.

I thought I had enough faith. I kept telling myself that God is my healer, yet I felt heavy and burdened in what was happening in my family. This verse made me realize that I still had unbelief; I was only denying it. I also realized that I failed to pray and ask God to increase my faith.

Now I understand the purpose of the recurring sickness in my family- it is God’s way of revealing the hidden sin I tried to cover up.
All glory to God! 🙏

Day 92 — October 6, 2025

OUR PROTECTION AGAINST DESTRUCTION
📖 “Seek the Lord, all who are humble, and follow his commands. Seek to do what is right and to live humbly. Perhaps even yet the Lord will protect you — protect you from his anger on that day of destruction.”
— (Zephaniah 2:3)

The Old Testament prophets announced news of destruction, but they also offered the only means of escape and protection. This promise of the Lord is also applicable to all generations, even today.

With all the horrible things happening in this world.. from man-made destruction and killing to natural afflictions all around the world.. it feels as if these are meant to remind us that the 2nd coming of Jesus will happen soon. Our status, wealth, and knowledge cannot and will never save us or keep us protected. No one can ever escape in case the world is set to be doomed- naturally or supernaturally.

However, through this verse, we understand how to claim the protection of our Creator, our Almighty, most powerful God. He has set some rules for us to be protected from His anger and the coming destruction:

1️⃣ Humbly seek God.
Whenever we pray or read the Bible, we seek God. But we also need to be humble, removing selfish desires and surrendering them all so God can move freely within us.

2️⃣ Follow God’s commands.
Jesus gave a new commandment- to love others with real love, just as He loves us.

3️⃣ Seek to be righteous.
Whenever we pray and seek God, we must also ask Him to help us follow Him, and do what is needed to be righteous in all we do.

4️⃣ Live humbly.
Never look at ourselves as above others, nor see others as below us. We must respect everyone, no matter how sinful they may seem, and no matter their status, belief, job, or race.

Because just as destruction came as foretold in the Old Testament, God is the same today. He never lies. The things written in Revelation — though horrible and scary — will surely happen soon and those who refuse to believe in Him will never be protected.

But those who endure and stay faithful to God will be saved. The day of destruction can never be prepared for.. so we have to start doing it now.

REST IN GOD
October 5, 2015 – Day 91

“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.”
- (Psalm 4:8)

David fought lions, bears, and giants, and even struggled with complicated relationships. He was a poet with a lyre, and a warrior with a sling-shot. He became a king from being a sheperd. David knew that his security doesn't come from his strength, his ability, or his power as a king but, from God.

From David's life, we should be reminded that,
1. Our safety should not be anchored on our strength or ability, because..
"God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble."
(Psalms 46:1)

2. Our peace should not come from our knowledge, because Jesus said..
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid."
(John 14:27)

3. Our confidence should not be built on our plans for our future, because we only need to..
"Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need."
(Luke 12:31)

4. Our rest cannot be found in the absence of chaos, but in the presence of the King of Peace, because Jesus promised..
“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
(Matthew 11:28)

We can rest knowing that we are in the hands of a God who never sleeps, never leaves, and never fails at all.
No matter how troublesome our work schedule or circumstances, we can have peace knowing God is in control. Even in our rest, God does not sleep.. for He will fix it all for us. 💛

IN THE FUTURE, WE WILL BECOME.. but until then, WE WILL OVERCOME
October 4, 2025 – Day 90

“We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.”
— (Romans 5:3)

We rejoice in suffering not because we like pain or ignore its tragedy, but because we know God is using life's difficulties and Satan's attacks to build our characters. The problems that we run into will develop our perseverance, which in turn will:

1. Strengthen our character
(Romans 5:4) "And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation."

2. Deepen our trust in God
(Psalm 50:15) "Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.”

3. and Give us greater confidence about the future
(Romans 8:18) " Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later."

We may find our patience being tested in many ways, through some complicated life situation, through our partners, or even our own children.. and it all depends on how we respond. Whether it’s our work, studies, or relationships, God uses these as opportunities to help us grow and deal with them in His strength.

REAL LOVE
October 3, 2025 – Day 89

“We know what real love is because Jesus gave up His life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters.”
— 1 John 3:16

Real love is an action, not a feeling. It produces selfless, sacrificial giving. The greatest act of love is giving oneself for others.

It is easy to say that we will die for our love ones than to truly live for them. This involes putting other's desire's. Jesus taught this same principle of love in (John 15:3) "There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."

But how can we give up our lives for our love ones?
- By giving our time, our comfort, our resources, and even our attention for them, with no thought of receiving anything in return. True love involves putting others’ desires before our own.

So is it possible to just love and expect nothing in return? In human perspective, we can't. Our nature is to expect something we can get in return. We also have a saying that "there is no such thing as unrequited love". But Jesus did.. for us! And since we are created in God's image, despite our limitations and human nature, we can also love others with the love of Jesus- the one true love.

We will know that love is real if:
1. It is seen in their actions (not only in words).
2. It is selfless (prioritizing others above themselves).
3. It is sacrificial (only giving, not asking anything in return).

When we start to complain about how exhausted we serve others and expect something in return, ask ourselves — do we still love them with the love of Jesus? Or was it just a feeling?

LIVING WITH PURPOSE
October 2, 2025
Day 88

Don't act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lords wants you to do.
- (Ephesians 5:17)

"Don't act thoughtlessly" warns against living without consideration or purpose, against making decisions or behaving in ways that are not in line with God's wisdom and guidance. So, in order to avoid living like this, we need to "understand what the Lord wants you to do!"

But how?

1. Don't be drunk with wine (v. 18a) - It is not a sin to drink or sip wine, as it also has health benefits. But it is better to drink in moderation or no alcohol at all (only if we cannot control ourselves). Getting drunk produces a temporary "high" and will never result in "hearing and understanding God's will". It is also associated with the old way of life and selfish desires.

2. Be filled with the Holy Spirit (v. 18b) - When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, which produces lasting joy, the influence of the Spirit results in:
a. singing praises and spiritual songs (v. 19)
b. making music to the Lord in our hearts (v. 19)
c. giving thanks for everything (v. 20)

So we need to:

1. SUBMIT OURSELVES DAILY - through prayer and studying the Bible, and being open to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
2. STRIVE TO LIVE WISELY - intentionally seeking God and His wisdom, guided by an understanding of God's purpose and will in our lives.

We don't need to live like a monk, away from other people, or talk only about religious matters, but whatever we do should be with an attitude of joy, thankfulness to God, and encouragement to others, instead of whining and complaining. Always seek opportunities to speak words of life and positivity.

OUR BODY IS WEAK BUT OUR SPIRIT IS STRONG
October 1, 2025 – Day 87

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day."
(2 Corinthians 4:16)

Paul had great sufferings and distress as he preached the Good News. Rather than quitting when persecutions wore him down, Paul focused on his inner strength that came from the Holy Spirit. He knew that one day, they will end and He will receive God's rest and reward.

As we face great trials, it’s easy to focus on the problem instead of God. But let us not forget that amidst our suffering, pain, sickness, or weakness, there is always a purpose. They actually have benefits, if given to God, they:

1. REMIND US that Christ suffered for us. 👉🏻 because if our Lord, who is sinless, blameless and powerful, suffered and tortured just to save us, who we are to complain in our suffering? 🤷🏼‍♀️
“If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. ...Do you remember what I told you? ‘A slave is not greater than the master.’ Since they persecuted me, naturally they will persecute you..."
(John 15:18‭, ‬20)

2. KEEP US from pride. 👉🏻 because we will realize that we really can’t secure anything in this world 🙅🏼‍♀️ not our health, not our relationships, not our job, or even anything we own. We have nothing to boast about.
“Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God."
(Habakkuk 2:4)

3. CAUSE US to look beyond this life. 👉🏻 because all our troubles and pain and suffering in this world are not permanent. 🙌🏼
"For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!"
(2 Corinthians 4:17)

4. GIVE US an opportunity to prove our faith to others. 👉🏻 because despite the trials, we can tell others how we stand firm because of our faith.
"These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold..."
(1 Peter 1:7)

5. ALLOW GOD an opportunity to demonstrate His power. 👉🏻 because through us, God can show miracle, mercy, blessings and how He works in our lives while we face trials.
"Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me."
(2 Corinthians 12:9)

Our very weakness allows the power of Christ to strengthen us moment by moment. All we have to do is admit our weaknesses, the things we can't control and submit them all to God. This life is not all there is.. remember that there is life after death! Our present bodies may groan, but God’s promise of eternity with no pain will make our spirits leap up! 🙌

Day 86 — September 29, 2025

THE PROMISE OF VICTORY!

“And he also said, ‘It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega - the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children.’”
- (Revelation 21:6–7)

God is the Creator. The Bible begins with the amazing and beautiful story of His creation of this universe, and it ends with His creation of a new heaven and a new earth.

This verse creates great hope and encouragement to all believers knowing that God never lies. It is a promise of victory that can help us win our daily battles but it includes a warning in verse 8 for:

- cowards (those who are fearful, abandoning Christ at the threats and fear of death, struggles and the feeling of being left out)
- ubelievers (refusing to believe in the word of God and its commandments)
- corrupt (those who loves money, greedy, and those with selfish desires ending up stealing)
- murderers (those who kill not only the people or children, but also the fetus or embryo.. killer of life)
- immoral (those who love pleasure, blinded by emotions with strong desire to fulfill lust and attraction, outside of marriage)
- those who practice witchcraft (including those who engage with occult, magic arts, witchdoctors, superstitions, tarots, zodiacs, speaking to undead etc.)
- idol worshipers (obsession on things, people and those who prioritize or love anything more than God)
- all liars (lies, white lies, sugar-coated lies, joke, pranks.. all LIES)

"...-their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."

For us to receive the blessings that God promised, we have to:
1. ENDURE TIL THE END. No matter how hard and painful, we endure, keeping the faith and focus on God and our mission. NEVER GIVE UP!

(Mark 13:13)
“And everyone will hate you because you are my followers. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”

2. STAND OUR GROUND. Firm in faith and full of courage to continue despite all struggles. NO COMPROMISE!

(1 Corinthians 16:13)
“Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.”

3. FEARLESS. Brave enough to face any persecution, pain, and struggle, knowing that God is with us. NO FEAR!

(2 Timothy 1:7)
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”

Pray for courage to do what is right no matter what pressure you face. Those who endure the testing of evil and remain faithful will be rewarded by God.

---

Today marks the second day of my youngest son’s sickness. I have been exhausted ever since so I struggle in managing my emotions. I cried, worshiped, and prayed every now and then whenever I had the strength to do so. But since I was always occupied with work while taking care of my son, I often ended up getting irritated and angry easily.

But whenever I broke down, I prayed. I cried out to God as I prayed because of the exhaustion — physically, mentally, and emotionally. Yet one thing I know: I am strong spiritually. Despite my weak body and emotions, I sing praises. I depend on God and the Holy Spirit whenever I can’t think straight. I was prepared, a little.

After this verse that God gave me today, I was strengthened even more, and relieved that I am on the right path despite my weakness. I am writing this at 1 a.m. while my son is still awake, fussing around and demanding things while I check my work every now and then. Despite this whole day of struggle, I still thank God that I was able to finish my journal with another lesson from Him.

To Him be all the glory and praise forever!

Day 85 – September 28, 2025
HOW GOD ANSWERS OUR PRAYERS

"God knows how often I pray for you. Day and night I bring you and your needs in prayer to God, whom I serve with all my heart by spreading the Good News about his Son." – (Romans 1:9)

Paul prayed to visit Rome so he could teach the Christians there. Despite his desire and continuous prayer, God still says "No." but that didn't stop Paul. He continued praying, and later God answered, but not in the way cted.

Paul’s prayer was answered through trial, hardship, and imprisonment. He prayed for safe trip, he arrived in Rome safely, but as a prisoner. Paul’s prayers for a safe trip granted only safety, not comfort.

God answers all of us, but not always in our timing and usually not in the way we expect.
Sometimes He answers "Yes," sometimes "No," sometimes "Wait."

Instead of worrying about why we didn’t get our way, we should be thankful that God knows what’s best.

✅ When we pray, be like Paul:
1. Boldly ask for your heart's desire – “Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart’s desires.” (Psalm 37:4)
2. Pray for others and their needs – “I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. This is good and pleases God our Savior.” (1 Timothy 2:1–3)
3. While waiting for God’s answer, continue to be faithful – “So, let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” (Galatians 6:9)

God may delay in giving or providing our desires, He even provides in different ways. His way may not be our way, but it is always the best.

Day 84 – September 27, 2025
SHINE IN HEAVEN

"Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like stars forever." – (Daniel 12:3)

Many people try to be stars in the world of entertainment. Some would do everything in order to be famous and well-known. But the status of their being famous is only temporary. No complete satisfaction, only to crave more.

This verse is reminding us that God tells us already how we can be “eternal stars”—by being wise and leading many to God’s righteousness. Our works will never be in vain in doing so.

I skipped sharing my devotion again for a few days. I got too occupied and focused on my own devotion to God and eventually got tired of sharing, telling myself, “Does God really know what I’m doing? I don’t mind if nobody likes it, nobody reacts, as long as there is someone out there being reached by God’s Word through me.”

But does God really notice me? my effort? Since I'm not comfortable doing this, will He care that I stop or continue?

This verse is a confirmation that:

1. GOD SEES – “For God watches how people live; He sees everything they do.” (Job 34:21)

2. WHATEVER WE DO FOR GOD IS NEVER IN VAIN – “Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)

3. FOCUS ON GAINING GOD’S PRAISE, NOT PLEASING PEOPLE – “I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.” (Galatians 1:10)

And because of this, I will continue. All praises and glory to God for His confirmation, promises and strength whenever we are losing hope🙏🏻

Day 83 – September 25, 2025
WITNESS WITH CAUTION

"Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives." – Jude 1:23

Bringing people to Jesus saves them from God’s judgment. We can do it through compassion and kindness. In trying to find a common ground with those to whom we witness, we must be careful not to fall into the quicksand of compromise. We are to hate sin, but we still must witness to and love the sinner.

When we reach out to others, we must be sure that our own footing is safe and secure. Be careful not to become so much like non-Christians that no one can tell when you are or what you believe. Influence them to Christ—don’t allow them to influence you to sin.

Unbelievers, no matter how successful they seem by worldly standards, are still lost and in need of salvation. We should not take witnessing lightly—it is a matter of life and death. But we also have to make sure that:

1. WE ARE FIRMLY ROOTED – Securely rooted at God so our godly habits will not easily be removed from us.
"Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness." (Colossians 2:7)

2. STAY ALERT – That whatever lies or temptation the devil throws at us, we will not be shaken.
"Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour." (1 Peter 5:8)

3. RESIST THE DEVIL – We must know our limits, things we can endure, and will not cause our faith to stumble. If doing something, even small things, that will risk our faith, it is better to stay away. Prevention is better than cure.
"Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good." (Romans 12:21)

Just like a wildfire or a contagious disease, small things matter and they are critical. Wildfire can happen from just a single spark of flint, and disease can spread if we don’t wear masks. We are to be a witness, merciful to people, yet not compromising to sin. If we don’t start now, it will be too late for them

Day 82 – September 24, 2025
PRAY TILL WE MAKE IT

"Keep a close watch on how you live and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right for the sake of your own salvation and the salvation of those who hear you." (1 Timothy 4:16)

We must put on constant guard against falling into sin that can so easily destroy us. We might present ourselves a certain way, but who we are will eventually come out (James 3:13).

Like a good athlete, their ability will naturally show when they are in a competition; and a fantastic cook, the truth comes out in the kitchen; for those with stunning voice, such talent can't stay hidden. As Christians, we are to prove how we follow Jesus through the way we live.

To prove something simply means to show that it’s true:
- Do you say you trust God? → Prove it by starting your day depending on Him and His Word.
- Do you say you love your neighbor? → Prove it by showing and honoring people around you.
- Do you call yourself a follower of Christ? → Prove it by living out a life reflecting His love.

It doesn’t mean that we have to be perfect, but it means that if we mess up or make mistakes, we will still try to make things right. Because no matter what, we belong to Him. We are not perfect, but we have to do our best.

Most of us will say, “Fake it till you make it.” As Christians, we don't fake it, but we:

1. Don’t go after selfish desire (Philippians 2:4) – “Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others too.”

2. Allow God to lead us (Galatians 5:16) – “So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.”

3. Instead of “Fake it – Pray for it – Till you make it.”
“And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” (Luke 11:9)

Then God will transform our hearts, mold us to be more like Him as it says in Ezekiel 36:26 – “And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you.”
