Spongy brakes on a 2004 Nissan Patrol GU?

Got a call in San Pablo for a Patrol with a hard brake pedal and hissing sound every time you brake. Classic brake booster vacuum leak.

On-site diagnosis: failed booster diaphragm, vacuum hose cracked.
On-site fix: replaced brake booster assembly, new vacuum hose and check valve, full brake fluid bleed and road test. All done in the driveway, no tow truck needed.

Result: firm pedal, proper stopping power, client back on the road the same day.
