Here’s a little throwback… and a long story. ❤️
This photo popped up in my memories this morning. The ruffle pillowcases I made for a pop-up shop around this time last year.
Within three days, they had ALL sold! It was amazing!! 🥹
I was so excited that I quickly ordered more fabric so I could go into full production… and then…
My entire world fell apart.
Within days, I had to pack everything I could into four suitcases and make my way back home to NZ.
In the time since, Kmart, Target and other places have brought out their own ruffle pillowcases probably for half the price of mine! 😂
But you know what? That hasn’t stopped me.
Today, I’m back in my sewing room, making ruffle pillowcases again.
Yes, it’s “just a pillowcase.”
Yes, you can buy one at Kmart.
But for me, it’s so much more than that.
I think it’s pretty cool to look back and see how far I’ve come, and to be back here again, picking up where I left off… a whole year later 💖
