Doing things that scare you changes you.

For me, that thing was mermaiding.

Putting on a tail, holding my breath underwater, getting cold seawater in my eyes and up my nose, performing, letting myself be playful and a little ridiculous - all of it pushed me way outside my comfort zone.

And every time I did it, the fear got smaller and the joy got bigger.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is follow the thing that feels a little scary and a lot magical. 🧜‍♀️✨
